I have spent the greater part of the past five years speaking about the importance of philanthropy and helping students reach their full potential through education. Why? Because philanthropy helped me jumpstart my career in the creative industry.

As a former recipient of the @NAACP Justice Champion Scholarship and the @BinghamtonU Scholarship for Social Change, I experienced firsthand the power that giving has on students. Five years later, I have made it my mission to ensure that the striking 75% of Americans who view cost as the primary barrier to higher education begins to decrease so that affordability and access become a reality for all.

Having grown up in a small town ~ 2 hours north of New York City with a population of only about 200 people, I know firsthand the importance of inspiring confidence in our young girls to go after their dreams, regardless of how far they may feel to reach.

Now as a media and entertainment professional, I have had the privilege of serving as a mentor for organizations such as @FortuneandForks and @GirlsInc to ensure we close the incredible gap between talent and access in an industry that feels far too gated.

I believe that God gives each and every one of us gifts. I have felt convicted for years to make sure I use mine to uplift our youth. Through scholarship advocacy and sharing my journey into the industry, I have spent the last five years demystifying media, opening doors to arts education, and ensuring that the stories we read and see on screen reflect those who love and engage with them.

This is work I have been doing, work I will always continue to do, and work I am excited to build toward at a much larger scale.

It warms my heart looking back at these moments, and it means so much to me to share them with you. 🤍

2ND RUNNER-UP AT MISS CONNECTICUT USA!💚

I had the incredible privilege of representing my city at Miss Connecticut USA, an official preliminary to @MissUSA

While I may not be heading to the Miss USA stage this year, I leave this experience with a heart full of gratitude. It was an honor to share my story and advocacy both on and off stage, connect with an inspiring panel of judges, and build friendships with an extraordinary group of women that I know will last a lifetime.

This journey reminded me that success is never achieved alone. I am incredibly grateful for the village that believed in me, encouraged me, and supported me every step of the way. Reaching the Top 3 would not have been possible without each of you.

To my mom @justclaudine, thank you for believing in this dream from the start & for always encouraging me to pursue excellence in all that I set my mind to do.

To my fitness trainer, @angelofrasier, since we met at Miss New York USA, you’ve become not just my coach but an extension of family. Your guidance, encouragement, and wisdom on the connection between mind and body have had an incredible impact on me. Thank you for always pushing me to grow.

To @aqueensconversation, Jimmy, Joel, thank you for challenging me to embrace authenticity and let my light shine in every interview room. Your mentorship has meant so much throughout this journey.
