Our GirlTREK National Team just wrapped up an amazing weeklong staff retreat at the beautiful, historic Elevation Convening Center and Hotel in Montgomery, Alabama! (It’s like a hotel, civil rights museum-library-art gallery all in one! OMG! A MUST visit!)

What a gift to gather with incredible leaders of GirlTREK who bring so much love, brilliance, passion, and commitment.

Our theme was MOMENTUM & JOY!

Together, we reflected, dreamed, learned, laughed, and strengthened our commitment to the work ahead.

We’re building more than an organization. We’re building a 100-year health force where Black women thrive, live their healthiest, most fulfilled lives, and no longer lead the way in dying at higher rates from preventable diseases.

Excited to work alongside this amazing team and our beautiful members to bring this vision to life! 💙💙💙

About last night: It’s our favorite time of the year! Backyard date night, fires and s’mores! 🖤🔥 🍫

Tried the “Stick a mini candy bar on a stick, dip it in creamy marshmallows, toast and put it between graham crackers… Yeah Right! It was an epic fail! 😩😩😩

My guilty pleasure is ice cream!🍦😩

I’m so happy… My baby boy just surprised me with the @NinjaCreami machine! 🥳🥳🥳 Now I can control the ingredients and make delicious and healthier versions! 🙌🏽🙌🏽

Tonight I made 3-ingredient coconut ice cream with toasted coconut (coconut milk, monk fruit sweetener, vanilla bean) and OMG… Soooo yummy! Thank you #2! 🫶🏽🍦
