There are moments as a mom when you just stand back and take it all in. 🥹🧡

Watching my son continue to walk in what he once dreamed about will never become “normal” to me. I know the work, the sacrifices, the prayers, the long days, the disappointments, and the determination it took to get here.

And now I get to watch him not only live his dream, but pour back into the game and the next generation through the Rasheer Fleming Basketball Invitational. 🏀

Son, I am so incredibly proud of the young man you are becoming. Not just because of basketball, but because of your heart, your growth, and the way you continue to carry yourself through every new chapter.

I’ll always be somewhere in the room looking at you like, “That’s my baby.” 😂❤️

It’s crazy to think that my last year in college I carried you in my belly at the same exact age you are today…22! Talk about full circle moment. Our babygirl! The youngest grand daughter of Dennis and Sadeara White. My one and only daughter. Miss Cum Laude, I applauded you and I know you’re going to become someone beyond great in college. I’m so proud of you. You are the epitome of beauty and brains! I’m going to miss our sushi dates and coffee dates. Im going to miss everything about you. University of Maryland Eastern Shore is getting a very special young lady and I will definitely make sure to be there to visit you for jumbo lump crab cake dates and watch you excel in track and field at the next level! Yesterday was a moment I will never forget. Watching my first born, Sheer, take the step to be baptized filled my heart with so much pride, joy, and gratitude. 🙏🏽

Seeing him publicly give his life to God and commit to walking in faith as a man of God is something every parent prays for. This is more than a moment, it is the beginning of a powerful new journey, one rooted in purpose, discipline, and God’s guidance.

Sheer, I am so proud of the young man you are becoming. Your strength, your heart, and your willingness to follow God boldly inspires me every day. Keep trusting Him, keep growing, and keep leading by example.

Just like that, drafted at age 20, your rookie season has come to an end at the age of 21…

Proud mom is an understatement. Sheer you have surpassed all of my expectations at 21 years old and it was truly a dream watching you live out your dreams. Every game, every moment and every milestone was better than the last. I’m grateful that you’re with an organization that embraced you from day 1. Your growth on and off the court is nothing short of grand. It’s all still surreal. It’s all seem like a dream.

Super proud Mommy moment! 🥹❤️

The babygirl I prayed and asked God for is now 18 years old and headed to college. Today is her SENIOR DAY as she steps onto the track to run her heart out!

She will continue her journey at University of Maryland Eastern Shore under my college coach, Coach Lee.

The same woman who believed in me and coached me through the heptathlon at the Penn Relays, which led to me setting a record at Fairleigh Dickinson University.

She handled us as well as any coach could, especially that time we all tried to sneak out of the hotel before a meet to go hang out—we thought we were slick! She literally stopped the taxi driver from pulling off and made us get out. I’ll never forget that.

Coach Lee was one of the reasons I kept going when I found out I was pregnant with my firstborn son during my senior year. She taught me how to never give up and how to push through, both on and off the field.

So many young women encounter a coach who changes their life—and she was that for me.

Now my Kyla Ray gets to experience her too, and that is truly, truly an honor.

My daughter is a greater version of me and more. I pray that her journey is guided, covered, and blessed beyond measure. As she pursues her dream of becoming a successful surgeon, I pray her path is made clear.
