Meet Kimberly Kisner (aka Kim), the passionate founder of HBCU Social!

A proud native of Cleveland, Ohio, and a distinguished alumna of Clark Atlanta University and The University of Phoenix, she stands as a true game changer in the dynamic realms of communications and change management.

Passionate about bringing people together, Kimberly’s dedication to fostering community led her to create the HBCU Social mobile app in the Fall of 2023.

This visionary idea stemmed from her deep love for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and a commitment to addressing the unique needs of this community.

Recognizing the pivotal role HBCUs play in shaping future leaders, Kimberly sought to connect students, alumni, faculty, Divine 9 members, and supporters through a purposeful and engaging mobile app.

Kim’s vision is to empower the HBCU community by fostering meaningful connections that celebrate our rich heritage and support personal and professional growth.
