Buckle up this one’s a big one.

You know I love to write and this one’s been building. Guess that’s what happens when you take a month and half offline.

I’m currently in a new season of stripping the common BS we see in this industry because honestly I’m not here to set people up for false hope. Not everyone is suited for this industry.

The truth is in the post.

If it lands for you DM me to start the conversation.

I’m here to support the families ready to put in the work that it takes to build their leveraged income. by @therealjadediaz

We all raise our children differently.

For us, this path we’re on right now feels right. It wasn’t planned, we just followed where we were being led.

Our kids are homeschooled, unvaccinated (after learning the hard way), learning self-defence, nourished with organic wholefoods, well-travelled, and growing up believing that nature is medicine instead of big pharma and that fun is essential, because it absolutely is 🌿 they remind us of that daily!

It’s not about what’s right or wrong it’s about what’s aligned with your family values.

We’re doing our best to raise our kids connected to themselves, to the earth, to God, and to the simple joys that make life rich.

This is our rich. It’s not fancy it’s slow, it’s grounded and feels wholesome to us.

Every family has their own version of “normal,” and this happens to be ours, guided by faith and love 💛

I’d love to hear what your highest family values are? ⬇️

Save this one to come back to when you’re craving something warm, creamy and super nourishing, particularly good for postpartum 😍

CREAMY RICE PUDDING
A nutrient-dense twist on a classic

🍏 Green apple (skin on): Rich in quercetin, a flavonoid with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, can help with mast cells and histamine release. Apples also provide pectin, a soluble fibre for gut health, and protective polyphenols.

🫚 Fresh ginger: Contains gingerols and shogaols, again antioxidant and anti-inflammatory supporting our bodies to reduce inflammation and increase immunity.

🥚 Egg yolks: Packed with choline, vitamin A, selenium and B vitamins. Vitamin A supports healthy mucosal barriers, including the lining of our digestive and respiratory tracts.

🧈 REAL Butter: Adds good fats, richness and helps the body absorb fat-soluble vitamins.

🌴 Dates (optional): Add natural sweetness, fibre, potassium, magnesium and copper to support energy needs and digestive health.

INGREDIENTS

* 2 cups Arborio rice, unrinsed
* 7 cups milk (raw, almond or coconut)
* 1 cup coconut sugar
* ½ cup wide ginger slices
* 1 cinnamon quill
* 4 egg yolks, room temperature
* 4 tbsp cold butter or ghee
* 4 large green apples, skin on
* 1-2 tbsp freshly grated ginger
* 4–6 Medjool dates, chopped (optional)

METHOD

1. Gently simmer milk, coconut sugar, cinnamon quill and ginger slices.
2. Add unrinsed Arborio rice and cook on medium-low for 35–40 minutes, stirring frequently until creamy.
3. Stew diced green apples with grated ginger until soft. Add dates if desired. No water necessary.
4. When cooked, turn off heat and remove ginger slices from rice.
5. Stir through cold butter until silky.
6. Add one egg yolk at a time and stir.
7. Serve warm with stewed apple, ginger and dates.
8. Otherwise pack separately into glass jars and store in freezer.

MY TIP: Arborio rice is my choice over basmati for this recipe because its starch creates that naturally thick, creamy texture.

*NOTE: This recipe makes a generous batch for postpartum meal prepping and freezing. Halve the quantities if you’re making it fresh to enjoy with your family.

Let me know if you love it as much as we do ⬇️ by @therealjadediaz

It always amazes me the depths a woman has to go through during pregnancy. Not just physically, but the journey it takes her on emotionally and spiritually.

So much has changed over the last 12 months for our family, for me. I don’t just feel physically different growing and carrying life, but my entire spiritual outlook has shifted. What I once believed completely changed.

This baby came to us many years ago, however we were not ready for the journey this soul would take us on, and so we closed the door.

In November last year, we were guided to God. There are many reasons why, but that’s a story for another day.

However, it was that month in November that God changed our hearts. He told us we would conceive our third child.

It made no logical sense to me at the time, but felt absolutely right. I was so convicted by His message, with zero doubt in my mind that this would happen.

I turn 42 next month. Apparently, considered “geriatric.”

That term didn’t even cross my mind at the time. The statistics around conceiving at my age didn’t enter our consciousness.

We trusted God’s word, and in January we fell pregnant.

In April, we got baptised and gave our lives to Jesus, and He has been guiding and protecting this baby and I ever since.

We have had to navigate some big decisions over the past few months to keep this bubba safe. Instead of succumbing to fear from medical professionals, I have completely leaned on Him for guidance, along with the people in my close circle.

There is no other way to describe what has unfolded other than a true miracle.

I will share more one day, because this whole experience has been a true testament to the power of God.

Whether you believe or not, there is no denying what has unfolded for us this year.

I’m sharing these photos because they mark a special milestone for our family, to thank the very talented @unfurl.photography and also to give hope to anyone who thinks this can’t happen for them.

I have no doubt that this miracle was God.

Maybe He’s just waiting for you to ask for His help?

“For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.”

Am I the only one who has been spending an exorbitant amount of money on organic almond butter when you can literally make it at home?! 🫠

Especially when the good-quality stuff is just almonds + salt.

I’ve been buying organic almond butter for YEARS… but with the cost of everything these days, I’m all for finding simple ways to save without compromising on the quality of what we’re eating.

And this one is SO easy.

🌿 2 cups organic almonds
🌿1/4 tsp celtic salt

Roast the almonds at 180°C for about 10 minutes, toss at 5 min mark, let them cool slightly, then blend in a high-speed food processor until smooth and creamy. That’s it. You’ll think it’s done at 5 mins but keep going it gets creamier trust me!

My favourite ways to use almond butter
- stuffed into dates
- spread on sourdough
- added to baking
- smoothies
- or just eaten straight off the spoon 😋

If you’re trying to keep the grocery bill down while still keeping good fats and nourishing whole foods in your diet, this is a really easy place to start.

Why did nobody tell me this sooner?! 😂

What else have you started making at home instead of buying? ⬇️ by @therealjadediaz

POSTPARTUM LACTATION COOKIES 🍪

I’ve been making these for all three of my breastfeeding journeys now, and they’re honestly the yummiest, most effective lactation cookies I’ve come across.

They’re packed with nourishing ingredients, and they’re the perfect snack to have on hand in those early postpartum days when you’re breastfeeding around the clock establishing your milk supply and need something quick, filling and nourishing.

Why they actually work! ⬇️

Galactagogues 🔑

Galactagogues are traditionally used to support breastmilk production and flow.

These cookies contain three of the most commonly used galactagogue ingredients: oats, flaxseed meal and brewer’s yeast. Don’t skip these!

INGREDIENTS

• 1/2 cup organic butter (or coconut oil)
• 1/2 cup coconut or raw organic sugar
• 1 pasture raised egg
• 1 tbsp organic vanilla extract
• 2 tbsp flaxseed meal
• 2–3 tbsp filtered or hydrogen water
• 1 cup organic wholemeal spelt flour
• ½ tsp baking powder
• 1 tsp organic cinnamon
• 2 tbsp brewer’s yeast
• ½ tsp celtic salt
• 1½ cups organic oats
• ½ cup of your fave cookie ingredient

Goji berries, activated pumpkin seeds, coconut, banana, grated apple, chocolate chips, sultanas, almonds, chopped prunes or dates!

METHOD

1. Preheat oven to 170°C.
2. Cream together the butter and sugar.
3. Add the egg and vanilla and mix well.
4. Mix the flaxseed meal with 2–3 tbsp water and let it sit for a few minutes.
5. Add the flax mixture to the bowl.
6. Add the spelt flour, baking powder, cinnamon, brewer’s yeast and salt and mix.
7. Stir through the oats and your chosen additions.
8. Scoop into balls, place on a lined baking tray and gently flatten.
9. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until lightly golden.
10. Allow to cool and store in an airtight container.

POSTPARTUM PREP TIP: Make a double batch and freeze some before baby arrives so you have an easy snack ready to go 👌🏼

Once upon a time I used to dread Mondays.

I’d spend all Sunday morning away from my family, prepping sales reports and analysing what products were selling and not selling because I had to explain it all to the CEO and senior management.

It was stressful and exhausting. I worked 50+ hours a week and only had Saturdays off.

I used to dream of weekdays like this with my family.

Now we all love Mondays.

I go to my clinical Pilates session while the kids do Steiner crafting at home with one of their homeschooling teachers.

This was what I came home to this morning 🥰

I remember making these ‘God’s eyes’ when I was their age.

Don’t ever be afraid to change direction.

Resigning from my 14-year career was terrifying. I thought it meant saying goodbye to a 6-figure income and part of my identity but I rebuilt that income working for myself from home AND discovered a much happier version of myself.

This has been our life now for 4 years.

I recently recorded a Masterclass called “The Aligned Life,”explaining how I coach other mums who want the same kind of flexibility, by sharing the business model that helped me create it.

Life lately… 🤰🏻🛁☀️🐚🐠🌹🥑🥕☕️🍿🎥

Lots of slowness in our daily rhythm, grateful for life and what we have 🙏🏼

As always life is full of polarity. So much unfolding with our family back in Colombia. Moving through it all with prayer and trusting Gods plan. A few weeks after the earthquake hit we also found out that a close family member in Colombia has stage 4 cancer. I may share more on this because it is absolutely a testament to God on what is unfolding but it has been huge for our family to navigate 🤍 by @therealjadediaz

I’m not opposed to disposable nappies I used them with my first two because cloth nappies felt far too overwhelming back then.

I’m also certainly not here to judge another mum for choosing convenience. Sometimes convenience is exactly what you need and who knows we may add in the odd disposable when we need.

But this time around, after doing a deep dive into the research, we’ve decided cloth was worth exploring for us and we’re strangely really excited to start this journey with bub number 3.

A special shoutout to my friend @leni.and.loves for sharing all your cloth nappy knowledge and educating me on ALL the things. You saved me so much overwhelm 🙏🏼 I’ve told her she needs to start a cloth nappy consulting business for all the mums out their because who doesn’t need this service if you’re new to the cloth nappy world 😅

For the brands we’ve chosen @disana.natur knitted tie nappy system + @babybeehinds hemp / GOTS organic cotton fitted nappy, we’re investing around $772 for a full-time set of 24, including 2 woollen nappy covers, lanolin wool care + enzyme laundry powder (apparently enzymes are necessary to remove the 💩 stains) I went with @the.b.clean.co baby’s range because it’s super clean and Australian made.

Compared with $3,500+ on disposables over 2–3 years, the upfront investment feels worth it to us for the long-term saving not to mention the sustainability factor and better for bub.

I hope this helps you make an educated decision on the best option for your family not just when it comes to nappies but anything really. Because you don’t have to do things the way you’ve always done them just because that’s what you know. You can always change your mind, do the research, ask those with the knowledge and education and choose differently.

My motto is always “know better do better.”

And as for all the extra washing… maybe ask me in 6 months and we’ll tell you how it’s going 😆😅

If you’re currently on the cloth nappy path or have tried it previously I’d love to know your thoughts below ⬇️ by @therealjadediaz

Bringing this conversation over here because it shows you how wildly different my lifestyle is now.

I left this career 6 years ago and have never once regretted it.

At any moment you can choose to create a different life for yourself. Don’t ever let fear be the reason you stay in a life that doesn’t bring you peace and joy.

Ps. The designer in me loved being creative with this post. That’s what social media is for me, it’s a creative expression to share my truth and hope it inspires someone else to build a life they can’t stop dreaming about!

My new Masterclass “THE ALIGNED LIFE” outlines all the steps to how I’ve transformed my life from 50 hour work weeks travelling around the globe away from my family >> 15 hour work weeks at home with my family whilst homeschooling 2 kids under 8 with another on the way.

DM “FAMILY” and I’ll send it to you
