Come with me on a trip to Boston!

A friend of mine was coming to the city from Canada for a conference and I had to make time to see her yesterday.

The ride to Quincy Adams was a breeze, the Red Line was easy, and the walk through the Common was perfect.

But of course, we had so much fun, and we didn't take any photos of videos. Well, maybe one photo. 😄

So glad to see you @autumn.j.wilson and thanks for introducing me to a new friend, @suzancz! ❤️ by @therealjennmullen

My morning routine includes 3 things.

Coffee. Inbox triage. A plan to move forward with one thing. In that order.

I don't believe you need a 5am alarm, a cold plunge, or a color-coded morning ritual. But I do believe you need to do what matters first. The rest is optional.

What's your morning routine look like?

October had a lot going on.

A mastermind presentation. Travel. A few speaking gigs. And somehow, it's now November.

So today I'm going to sit here, with my cup of coffee, and try not to be an overachiever for one day.

How was your October? Give me one word that explains it all.

I'm celebrating Halloween in the best way—seasonal beverage, no agenda, and zero plans to be productive.

What are your plans tonight?

My Halloween costume: someone who has their business completely together.

Not completely fictional, but still kind of humorous. Because I think all business owners are still figuring it out to some extent.

Happy Halloween Eve! 👻

This is the best follow-up strategy I know.

Be the kind of person people don't have to "follow up" with.

Return emails. Do what you say. Show up when you say.

It's boring, but sometimes it's apparently rare.

And this doesn't have to involve using a CRM, although it can. I'm talking about a basic operating standard that you have. What's one operating standard that made the biggest difference in how you show up?

I showed up to the mastermind yesterday—on purpose.

My weekly mastermind always has a placeholder on my calendar because no matter what the topic is, I leave feeling inspired and I learn something.

What's one thing you decide to do on purpose this week?

#WeeklyMastermind by @therealjennmullen

If there's one thing I hear from business owners, it's this:

"I know I'm busy all week, but I can't seem to get ahead."

I was there once. That's why I created the Efficiency Audit Email Course. It's free, short, and it's not going to tell you to wake up at 5am and drink green juice. But if that's your thing, go for it!

What it will do is help you figure out where your time is actually going—and what to do about it. You in?

Comment EFFICIENCY, and I'll send you the details. by @therealjennmullen

October has been a lot. But I'm so glad to be home.

Two speaking events. A few networking things. One presentation to my mastermind. And one Hudson Valley moment I'm still thinking about.

And yet my inbox is still managed, and the to-do list is still there. The world continued to move while I was living it up.

I'm not complaining, but I'm not hiding it because the work is still there. We sometimes pretend it's all seamless, but running a business takes work. Full stop.

What's one thing you'll be carrying into November and one thing you're leaving behind? by @therealjennmullen

I've been asked to start something new, and of course I said yes. 😊

I'm a member of Master Networks, and I'm looking to start a chapter in Southeastern Massachusetts. If you haven't heard of the group, you're in luck. It's a weekly meeting built on 5 core values: relationships, improvement, contribution, accountability, and results.

Each chapter has one seat per profession, weekly business training, a simple structure, and room to lead. And I'm looking for 5 founding members to do this with me.

We need a place to meet, so if you're a restaurant owner who wants to offer your private room, a real estate office with a conference room, or any space with a screen we can share slides on, I'd love to chat with you.

If you're interested in a founding seat, or know someone who'd be a good fit, comment below or send me a message.

Here's my Sunday checklist: Acquire a LEGO set and build.

That's it.

Ok, well, maybe pour myself a cup of coffee before I start. But after the past week, I definitely need some downtime.

Work hard, play hard, right?

What's one thing you're doing this weekend that's purely for you?
