After our trip up north, we stopped at Vikre Distillery in Duluth to celebrate Gabe’s birthday!

With so many unique cocktails & spirits on their new fall menu, Hobbit themed, we ordered a flight and chose our cocktails off of what we liked best.

We tried spruce gin, voyager aquavit, temperance river rye whiskey (just happens to be one of our favorite rivers along highway 61), and amaro superior.

We ordered the green dragon, which was made with voyager aquavit, vanilla & sarsaparilla, it was absolutely delicious. Nightcap worthy.

The there and back again was made with spruce gin and amaro superiore, with notes of ginger and lemon. Bright and citrusy, again another incredible drink.

Gabe also ordered the eye of Sauron, which I wasn’t expecting to like because of the citrus and spice combo. But, turns out it was absolutely incredible and I would definitely order again. Very complex and flavorful, yet not overpowering or punchy.

Some incredible and unique spirits and cocktails, we couldn’t help but bring a couple bottles home to share with our friends!

Happy birthday to Gabe, my biggest supporter, protector, provider, always challenging me and always there. The most incredible man I’ve ever met. I’m the luckiest woman alive to have him in my life ❤️ taken in Duluth, Minnesota by @therealjuliatio

falling in love with living slow 🫶🏼🏹🌱 little snippets of my camera roll from the last few days. I’m soaking up the remainder of summer with lovely people and oh so looking forwards to fall 🍁🍂🎃 (i have no doubt I’ll throw and attend some awesome parties this fall. Halloween, Friendsgiving, Thanksgiving, sunflowers, orange leaves, camping, bonfires, experimenting with flavors and textures, pulling out the wool poncho, blankets & cozy sweaters. Thank you Summer and I’ll see you soon Fall😍) by @therealjuliatio

I had the most incredible day! @bigpsychmpls day 1, starting with a community mushroom foray, we went to Fort Snelling State Park & foraged together! Then, we met up for a delicious, locally sourced community meal. @themushroomblock had a live demonstration teaching us how to grow our on gourmet mushrooms at home! I got to make my own blue oyster bag. Thank you for putting on this event! I can’t wait for day 2 🍄 by @therealjuliatio

I took this little lady for dinner on the patio today ⛱️🍕careful on the sound in the second frame, she was very excited to see her dad 🫶🏼 of course Ammo was a big hit on the patio, scoring lots of pets & even a French fry from our neighbor tables. She brings so much joy to everyone that sees her, it is amazing to watch people fall in love with her (almost) as much as Gabe & I have by @therealjuliatio
