I turn 36 in a month, and there’s a version of me who would have prayed for the life I’m living right now 🤍

This time last year, I was broken. I had lived through the hardest two years of my life, and without getting into private details, those years hurt me in ways I didn’t know were possible, and robbed me of things I worked my whole life for. I can’t even talk about it still tbh without crying or having an anxious breakdown.

It’s so easy to spend your 30s comparing your life to everyone else’s and feeling behind. For most of my life, I didn’t know what I wanted to do. I’ve done and succeeded at different things don’t get me wrong. But none that brought me what I felt were my passion/purpose. As difficult as these last couple of years were, that season gave me more time to create, and pour myself into something that brought me peace & the distraction I needed from the reality I was living.

Creating content was always a source of joy and purpose, but this time it served me in ways I really needed at the time. Connecting with you guys and helping you on your own journeys has been the most meaningful part. Slowly, something grew out of something really painful.

I couldn’t see where any of it was leading at the time. Looking back now, I’m reminded that the universe has its own timeline, even when we don’t understand its why.

A younger version of me would be so proud. And the version of me from a year ago would be so relieved to know she would feel this way again.

Grateful for this life, and for all of you who are part of it 🤍
And a reminder to anyone who has read this far, that it’s never too late to build a life you love. So long as you have your health, you have everything you need to be in a different place this time next year 🫶🏼

Because I’m sure someone else here can relate to this and needs the reminder
Some of us deal with more skin issues than others. I’ve been dealt all of them in my lifetime. From my head to my toes. Right now I don’t feel good in my skin. I work so hard at it and within one week back on Finacea, it destroyed my skin barrier and has me breaking out everywhere like I haven’t seen in years. I could hide it or remind you all, that this is real life, not the filtered « perfect » skin you oftentimes see online. Even the best of us go through cycles 🫶🏼
