The truth about having a garden? It's not always the big harvest videos. Sometimes it's a handful of tomatoes and a peach tree that humbled you. 🍑 5 truths I wish somebody had told me when I started — the last one changed everything for me. Which truth did you need to hear most? Tell me the number. 👇 by @thereallettajean

Before I start again, I had to remind myself what these hands have grown. 🍑🥬🍅 This was not my planting season — but it's not my last one. The garden reset starts now.

🫚 And yes, that first homegrown ginger harvest is a whole video: "Harvesting My First Homegrown Ginger" on my YouTube, LettaJean Speaks 👉🏽 https://youtu.be/0I8DGMjxBB0

Which of these should I grow again next season? by @thereallettajean

Y’all, can we talk about the inbox for a minute?

You don’t need a whole weekend to clean it out. You just need a plan, and a little help sorting it.

Here’s how I use Muse:
1. Decide what counts as clutter for you
2. Ask for a triage, not a purge
3. Handle it in batches
4. Keep bills and client work out of the bulk cleanup
5. Archive first, so you can undo it
6. Approve any draft before anything is sent

Try this prompt:
“Find my unread mail from the last 30 days, leave out bills and client emails, and make me a short list: reply, archive, unsubscribe.”

Save this for your next inbox reset, and tell me in the comments: is your inbox feeling heavy right now, or are you already caught up?

For some people, you can’t use your job to fund your business. You’ll end up choosing what matters the most and the business will fall by the wayside.
For others, you just gotta take the leap of faith and dive directly into the business.
Utilize the work ethic you put into your job, into running that business.
It will pay off.
You might fall behind on a payment.
You might miss out on that event.

But…

If you just stay locked in…
Keep applying pressure…
Keep pushing…

The reward will be there soon.

My issue was trying to do both.
I was side hustling to the point where my business became the side hustle, and my side hustling was a full time job 🤦🏽‍♀️

It still wasn’t enough.

I know what God put in me. I know what he told me to do, but I thought I knew what was best for me and my family more than God 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

One day, He said, you can’t do both.

When I made up my mind, everything after that began to line up.

Confirmation 1: I saw a post
Confirmation 2: I received a call
Confirmation 3: I saw another post (“coca cola sold 7 bottles their first year in business”) Now look at them.

My other issue was, not giving myself time to see the results. 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

I wanted the success the same day I started, but success takes time.

Some seeds may pop up overnight, but in order to get what you need from that plant, it needs time to grow.

I know this is a long post, but I pray it helps someone.
Pray about it. Take the leap of faith and #BuildMomentum

If this is your day of rest, honor it.

Your mind will revert back to work and you’ll find yourself jumping back in unexpectedly.

✅ Let me do this real quick
✅ I don’t want to forget
✅ that’s a great idea

All of these things may be true, but instead of giving in to the work, write it down and go back to rest.

You’re no good to your family, your business, or yourself if you’re in constant grind and constant work mode.

Rest is part of the hustle. It’s part of the grind. It’s part of the work.

If I keep using a certain machine too much, it will eventually get too hot.
If I stay on my device for too long it will get hot.
Some TVs if they stay on too long, they get hot.
If you drive your vehicle without the proper maintenance it will run hot.

All these things require a time to cool down and rest.
If machines have to cool down and rest, you have to do the same.

God created the Heavens and the Earth and He rested.
You’re no different.

Take a break. Play a game. Spend time with your family. Take a walk.

Just rest.

Love you 😘 🫶🏽
