It is with deep sadness that we continue to mourn the passing of our beloved brother, Ousmane Diallo.

This evening, the National Action Network NYC Huddle, community leaders, and friends will gather at 6:00 p.m. at the National Action Network House of Justice (6 Hancock Place, Harlem) for a special Community Huddle to remember Ousmane’s life, reflect on his extraordinary impact, and support one another during this difficult time.

Ousmane grew up in this movement. Just one week ago, he was with us at our first Monday Huddle in our new headquarters. Tonight, we return to that same space to honor a young leader whose service, compassion, and commitment touched so many lives.

On Thursday, July 23, we will stand with Ousmane’s family as to gather for his Janazah (funeral prayer) at Masjid Futa Islamic Center in the Bronx. We ask our NAN family and all who knew and loved Ousmane to continue lifting his family in prayer, respecting their wishes, and surrounding them with love during this time of profound loss.

May Ousmane’s memory continue to inspire us to serve others with the same humility, kindness, and dedication that defined his life.

Dinner will be served this evening. Those attending are asked not to bring candles or balloons please. taken in NYC by @therealliyahhb

usually people have childhood friends then outgrow them, take different paths in life, part ways. me and you stayed on the same path. you seen every version of me and im so hurt you wont get to see the final version we were working towards. my brother, my friend, my bestfriend. you are loved by so many that’s the only thing keeping me sane. the impact you left on this world at only 24 is something that will go down in history books. you are a legend, harlems finest. i wish we had more time cause we were just getting started but i wont question God. the marathon continues and imma keep running for you my heart💙 ousmane diallo will live on as long as im on earth to keep it alive. i love you forever ous until we meet again. see you later💙” To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return” Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un 🤲🏾
