We had such a fun night on Broadway last night at the Buena Vista Social Club! As the usher said as they seated people, it's freezing outside but it's going to be hot in here. It made my heart happy, kept my feet moving, and packed a lot of story and important themes in 2 hours. I can see why it and the main lead won big at the Tonys. I just want to listen to the soundtrack on repeat. Thank you, Ricky Bacon for such a great birthday gift. by @therealmiskafied

We are so proud of Max's accomplishment of representing Hudson Montessori School at the Hudson County regional level of the Scripps Spelling Bee. He was one of 80 competitors at the event. He made it to the 5th round. Only 6 or 7 (yes, I said it) kids made it to 6th round. We were beaming seeing him up there, holding his own :-) We are so thankful for the support of all his teachers, including Michelle Priya Velho. <3 by @therealmiskafied

Empathy: The ability to understand, share, and experience the emotions and perspectives of another person, often described as "walking in someone else's shoes."

Empathy is an evolved trait. Ferocious animals at their basest lack empathy.

People who lack empathy are stuck in a survival-of-the-fittest, fight-or-flight response, or in an inability to process emotions for anyone other than themselves.

Based on this premise, those who look at Pretti and Good's deaths as justifiable, without a modicum of sensitivity or emotion, do not have empathy. Draw a correlation from there. It's a 1:1 apples-to-apples comparison.

People who lack empathy likely act out because they feel inadequate. It's an animalistic response to an attack by an enemy they perceive as wanting to overtake them.

If only they knew, the empathetic folks understand their feelings of inadequacy. They want to help them. Unfortunately, some hearts and brains were never nurtured at birth to process empathy. At the end of the day, only those who want to evolve can.

The Bacons fam is super proud of the hard work of both Phoenix and Max who made it to the school spelling bee! Today, Hudson Montessori School announced that Max is the school spelling champ and will be representing our school in the regional competition! #spellyoulater by @therealmiskafied

Congrats to all three teams from Hudson Montessori School sent to the Future City Competition at Rutgers University! Each won an award! With over 50 entrants from middle schools through NJ, Max and his team won "Most Creative Use of Materials" award. The other two teams won "Best Food Waste Management" and 8th place overall! I am so happy for all these kids who worked so hard! by @therealmiskafied
