YAY PARK DAY!
we didn’t go last time because it was too hot, but today was Mom’s kind of weather so i got to play for a LONG time. today i mostly played in the sand near the play structure and said hi to lots of kids.

aaaaand part 3 of my city adventure!
checkin’ out the Bunny Café. such a cute place with a little café, some merch and adoptable bunnies to spend a little time with (adoptable through @saveabunny . i did not come home with one (i’m still not over Tobi’s passing), but i did have a favorite! which one do you think?

i only booked 30 minutes of time with the bunnies so i looked in each pen to see which ones i wanted to hang out with. this one was the first.

ALL THE SMUSH!!

she is a cutie too! i always feel so sad for REWs because they are beautiful and so sweet, but most people can’t get past their red eyes. she let me stroke her cloud soft fur and even gave my hand a kiss!

so much cute stuff. i bought a hat and a blingy bunny keychain.

love the names of these drinks.

cute sign! i’ll be back again, @bunnycafesanfrancisco! taken in San Francisco, California by @therealmisocean

part 1 of my city adventure: Salesforce Park. cute little greenscape i knew of but hadn’t ever seen before today. i know people draw comparisons to the High Line in NYC. slightly similar concept but each is charming in its own right. taken in San Francisco, California by @therealmisocean

a very short tour of downtown Palo Alto (because the torn ligament in my ankle was screaming at me to stop walking so much)

ah, the Creamery. used to go here with hometown friends often, and even took visiting old college friends like @dahldede and my friend Abby here too. haven’t been in a long time because they haven’t introduced any vegan friendly choices here; not even a single Beyond or Impossible burger. i wish they’d add something besides fries, although their fries are good!

local pub i haven’t been to in ages. it’s a quaint place but kinda cool.

when i want ice cream, i always go to Salt & Straw so i never even knew our local gelato place had some dairy free flavors. this chocolate one was rich and creamy! also, it’s just a few doors down from Tane Izakaya (vegan sushi!). i was looking for that. haven’t been there yet. next time!

cute little water feature at Lytton Plaza. this corner of downtown always looks nice at Christmas!

the famed Stanford Theater

these parklets are everywhere now. i like the wisteria accents on this one.

i really like their falafel wrap! good stuff!

glad to see this place is still thriving. they have a few vegan options like the cajun pasta, but what i really like them for are their cocktails and their strawberry lemonade frosé.

i used to go to The Old Pro a lot. it closed a couple years ago and i guess re-branded? same location. everything looks exactly as i remember it. i haven’t been since they dropped the ā€œOldā€. ok. their website says ā€œA New Era for The Classic Sports Barā€. šŸ¤”šŸ¤Ø not sure how i feel about that.

City Hall

i’ve need seen this mural before.

as a local artist, the Pacific Art League is where i got my start, my first group exhibition one year after i started painting. more than a decade later, i’ve been featured in galleries in SoCal, Chicago, NYC, D.C, Norfolk (VA) and many others. anytime i’m selected for an exhibition here though, i am still always honored to be a part of it. (btw my lion painting was submitted for a show. let’s see what the jury decides!)

an actress i like, @dananeerr, was surprisingly roaming the streets of downtown Palo Alto last year and i didn’t even know about i taken in Palo Alto, California by @therealmisocean

YAY PARK DAY! -Timo
i never minded staying home with Tobi when he asked me to. i chose to. but now that i’m back to my regular Park Day routine, i missed it and i’m glad that Mom takes me there again. first stop is always the tennis court. i like saying hi to the people in there.

no šŸ= playtime in the bushes. can you see me?

Mom’s saying i can only play behind the bushes, not crawl into them. but why?

HIIIIII!

i like the crunch sound these leaves make when i play on them

Mom says i’m always smiling.

wherever i roam, i always make sure Mom is close by.

i’m doing my best pose. could i make the cover of a magazine?

i went back to play in the bushes.

ok, ok, i won’t go IN the bushes.

let’s see what else is going on here today!

Mom laughed because after she took this picture, i tried to climb it.

some little kids wanted to say hi.

i’ve seen this kid here lots of times. he’s always gentle with me.

i love when they play the bridge game!

playtime was over so we walked to the farmers market where Mom saw some of the kids from her work. then we went home.
until next time!

that’s a lot of loss over the years, but there was a lot of love, too! my memorial stones from @wanderprints.official arrived yesterday. they are so beautiful. i need to get some garden border fencing for the memorial area and then i’ll lay these down gently in that space. (Griffin was cremated, not buried, but this space is as much his as the bunnies’. Every night when i plant kisses from my fingertips to the lovely headstone my friend Alex’s dad gave me years ago and then blow them into the night sky, Griffin is always included.)

if you’ve lost a beloved companion, i highly recommend personalizing a memorial stone from this company! (i don’t get any payouts for saying so, fyi.) taken in Palo Alto, California by @therealmisocean

YAY PARK DAY!
-Timo
when we get to the park, Mom sets me down on the grass and lets me decide where i want to go. ā€œWhat is it with you and the tennis court?ā€ she says. my first stop is always the tennis court!

saying hi to some kids. they were asking questions about me so i introduced myself.

i’m always on the move!

no šŸ in sight today so i could play behind the bushes

Mom said this pic is really cute and that i’m so charming.

i love when i can play in the bushes!

Mom already gets nervous with šŸ šŸ šŸ. why would the park put a beehive here?! now she has to worry about them buzzing around in winter too!

Mom likes to go to the farmers market after the park. no one ever expects to see a turtle in here so they always gather to look at me. taken in Palo Alto, California by @therealmisocean
