A loss for words is an understatement. I am completely devastated by this news! Dolly Parton was greatness, compacted into a 5'0 frame. I had the pleasure of meeting her one time, on 16th Avenue at the historic Emerald Sound Studio. An experience I'll forever cherish.
Dolly was not just a part of country music. She was the very essence of it! As gifted as any one person could be, with a heart that matched her larger than life personality. True to herself, her friends/ family, and especially her fans.
More of us, as entertainers and people in general, could learn a great deal from this very special lady.

Thank you, Dolly, for giving up 15 minutes of your time to talk to me that day. Thank you for caring for the kiddos with the start of Imaginaton Library. For all the love you have shown, to the men and women in uniform, and so much more.

But more than anything, thank you for the years of timeless music and the stories that unfolded through them. You left one hell of a mark on this world, but now, an even greater void.

We will always love you..

There’s still time to make it out!

Tonight we’re teaming up with Nashville’s Longest Running Writers Round @chasinmelodiesnash to bring you what I truly believe is the best night of music happening in Midtown today.

While some shows stack a lineup with nine or twelve names and hope for the best, we intentionally curated our with songwriters who have earned their place as some of the very best newer writers to come out of Music Row. Carefully placed together with writers who will compliment them. Every artist on this stage has something special to offer. And to make the night even better, I just found out we’ve got a few more surprise special guests joining us than I thought!

Music starts at 7 PM and goes until 11 PM. From the first song to the last, I’m confident this will be the best night of music in town tonight!
We're looking forward to hosting this one. Come and spend your Thursday night with us! by @therealodisskohn

This week has been good for the soul. Sometimes the path ahead can get murky, you can lose perspective. You can start looking as music as a job, and comparing yourself to others around you. You lose sight of the fact that this started as a passion. And it needs to remain such. Thank you to @tinroofnashville and @chasinmelodiesnash and your #50StatesIn50Weeks series for reminding me of that. This series is really cool.

Yall prepare for Odiss volume 2. Some really cool things in the works the last few days. by @therealodisskohn
