🔴SOLD A fantastic, rare original Mid Century, large unit reclaimed from a school.
Such a great looking and practical combination of drawers, 3 x plan chest drawers, 2 x deep storage drawers, 1 x small utensils drawer and 2 x open storage compartments. Looks great from all sides as a stand alone piece. Would make a fantastic kitchen island, shop counter etc perfect height at 3ft. Or back to intended use in an artist studio.
Solid Oak frame and drawer fronts, typical high quality materials and construction of school equipment from the period.
All original as is, Strong and solid, no wobbles, nothing missing, no major damage or repairs. Cosmetic marks, bumbs, scratches and staining consistent with use. Remarkably good condition considering previous life.
Cleaned (all chewing gum removed!) ready for another 70 years.
A real talking point with a lovely history.
Please see all photos.
Dimensions: 5ft x 34” x 3ft high, inside plan drawers 42.5” x 32.5”.

U3. Semi-autonomous remote control model submarine.

Helmet Huhn from Düsseldorf Germany built a series of ground breaking model submarines from the 1970s onwards.
He used a tone modulated remote control installation which meant he had only limited commands. The submarine had to work autonomously with automatic depth control and a compass based heading control.
Helmet was able to control 2-5 of these submarines simultaneously with only 1 transmitter.
