Today was my dad's funeral service. It's hard to believe he's been gone for a little over a month. And I'll say it's hard to really comprehend. I made an Urn to store his ashes, compiled images of his, my moms, and our family's life together. But it's still hard to think the person that's been there day in and day out is now gone. He was two months from retirement and in a way I feel like that though was difficult for him, not because he loved his job but he loved the people he was surrounded by.

He could be a challenging person, yet in a lot of ways it wasn't because he was wrong or unfair, often times it could be the opposite. He loved his family, and giving them the opportunities was most of all what he wanted. He drove a 25 year old car, didn't care for fancy things, but most of all when looking through every photo album in the house he always had the biggest smile when he was with his family. In a lot of ways it's what really matters in life.

Next one is on his way. At times it's easy to feel disconnected from what all is happening when we don't see the day to day changes. It's amazing to get to see their little face and watch the movements. by @therealryanembry

Kids kinda amazing.

As I'm trying to organize he keeps saying cars. The colors are the same as his HW set which gave me a good distraction to think of color associations, brain development, and just play. As a stay at home dad I get to see a lot of these moments.

In a way it's fun in another it's super hard. Remembering that our time, development is in a way is more valuable than obtaining "goals" in the momentary.

Here's to another day, the proverbial march, whether you're happy or not. Back to being disappointing. by @therealryanembry

Some days are better than others...

Today feels like the end of an era for one reason or another. But somthing amazing happens when you turn a corner. A toddler finds a place to hold his banana and for some reason or another things don't seem as bad.
