From recording this record in my hometown Ottawa, to shooting the music video in Miami, and now to the billboards of NY. I can’t thank everyone enough for the love and messages I received for Pretend.

This record is my fastest growing record and I can only say I have WAY more bangers in the vault ready to drop VERY soon.

There was a time where I genuinely had no hope in music. I took 3 years off at one point but found my way back to doing what I love the most. New drive, new inspiration and a new self.

When I was at the airport leaving to Columbia, I met my brothers @lukemacmillan_ & @amateotuteye . They were flying out to Cartagena as well. We exchanged contacts and stayed in touch throughout the trip. ✈️

Since Cartagena is a costal city, we planned to rent a boat and go island hopping (which I recommend everyone to do if they ever go to Cartagena). 🛥️

We came across this small wooden island built on top of some rocks in the ocean that was unique and eye catching. @sipentertainment and I already knew we had to shoot a scene here which came out amazing.

From all my journeys, I come to realize the best things come organically. Opportunities will always come, but what you make of them and out of them is up-to you. 💃🏽

When we were in Cartagena, Columbia, we were looking for ways to incorporate the local culture within the music video for Shakira. We saw a group of dancers and drummers setting up for a public show. We approached them and asked if it were possible I join their dance crew for a couple minutes 😂. Without hesitation, they agreed and vibed out to the song as it was theirs. They didn’t ask for any money (we still tipped generously) and loved being apart of this project. Much love to them! by @therealshubz

Figuring out your blueprint is key. Pick a direction , create a plan and execute. Don’t worry about the outside noise. A lot of hate, jealousy and envy. Use that as fuel for your journey. Set your creative thermostat to a level that others may think is crazy.

When people hear my ideas, some think I’m crazy. Actually most of people do 😂 But when they see the final product to my ideas and the execution it’s at that point they see the vision. And let me tell you, there’s more in my bag of tricks than you know.

Think big. Dream big and remember, the more you fail, the closer you’re getting. Stay woke.
