Today marks 1 year since Kaitlyn and I got engaged, what a year it has been. I’m thankful for her smile, her perseverance, diligence, compassion, and everything she teaches me along the way. We had our civil marriage May with a small family gathering, followed by our sealing in the Cedar City Temple on November, almost exactly 6 months later. I love her so much I would marry her a third time. 🤍 #givethanks by @therealtomwebb

Social distance dating isn’t anything new to us, we’ve been doing it since 2018 while I have been at Utah Valley University studying Political Science and @k8ln.cobb has been at Dixie State University studying Radiology. On Friday, that all changes when we get married! I love you Kaitlyn. I can’t wait for life with you. 1 year ago today I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. This was the day my life was flipped upside down. In the months preceding my diagnosis, I lost over 30 lbs, had zero energy and at one point, wondered how much longer I could carry on. I felt like I was dying and truth be told, if my family didn’t take me to seek medical attention, I would have been dead not long after. Fortunately, @jessica.brandt23 was able to take me to the ER and be there when my new life started. Life with T1D isn’t fun. I will have T1D for the rest of my life, there is no cure. It’s a struggle that I will deal with for the rest of my life, trying to manually perform a function that your body does just fine. But this isn’t about how T1D ruins lives. This is about how T1D made me reconsider what life means. It gave me a new sense of gratitude to be born in a day and age when insulin is available. It has made me more humble, thoughtful, patient, and long suffering. It has given me greater appreciation for the Atonement of Jesus Christ. In some future day, I will be whole again because of Him. I love Him. I love my family, who has made this transition with me, who care about my health and well being. While my life has been flipped upside down, I wouldn’t change anything about it. T1D helps me understand who I am and I am grateful for that. I choose to #thrivedespite the challenges that this disease brings. If you are a Utah resident, I am asking for your support of HB 207, a bill designed to put a price cap on insulin, a medically necessary medicine that has risen in cost to over 200% more than it did at the start of the century, with no major changes to the drug itself. Greed and corruption are costing Type 1 Diabetics their lives. Without insurance, my insulin alone would cost more than my tuition, and this doesn’t include the other supplies that I need to manage my diabetes. In a few short months, I get to marry Kaitlyn, who has been so supportive in this new life of mine. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. by @therealtomwebb

Everyday I am with Kaitlyn I am inspired to be more like Kaitlyn. She is full of faith, love, and hope. She is encouraging and kind. She inspires me to become a better person daily! I couldn’t be happier she said yes! I already have 20/20 vision, but May 8th, 2020 just got a lot clearer! by @therealtomwebb

Tanner has been gone for almost 3 weeks and now Chris and I get our turns! Elder Cottle and I give our farewell talks this Sunday, at the 12:30 sacrament meeting at the corner of Rustic Dr. and River Rd. We'd love to see you there! 🇬🇧 by @therealtomwebb

I am a firm believer that God places individuals in our lives for a reason, and Tanner is evidence of that. I can't thank him enough for his friendship. Tanner will deliver his farewell talk at 12:30 on Sunday, at the chapel on the corner of River Road and Rustic Dr, next to the bridge under construction in Little Valley. Yesterday I had the amazing opportunity to receive my own endowment in the Lord's Temple. I learned so much, and I know that I will continue to learn there. The temple is beautiful, and the things we learn there are also beautiful. I can't wait to help the people of England feel of the same spirit and joy that came over me yesterday. taken in St. George LDS Temple by @therealtomwebb

" My grandpa was the most genuine man you will ever meet. He had a heart full of love.
