Any business owners out there might feel or have felt the same: that you have to figure it out alone. Well, this past year, I somehow have.

And for various reasons: even to open up a company, plenty of service providers but I wanted to know how to do it. Plus, I was mislead in a step and it costed me 10K fine.

So, yes to help. But from where and who? In the meantime, time passes and the show must go on.

I remember the days when I joined Real Estate, I clearly said to my manager: “I will do as you say because if I fail it’s not my fault”. And then I over grew all my managers. Not because I say it; but simply because the last manager I had, couldn’t even give me constructive feedback. When requested: “you’re doing great”. Nah! Nobody does; I wanted to learn to manage my team. Had to do it on my own. Painfully.

Now I have my team under monthly performance review. Factual feedback.

And all along: just not having anyone telling me what to do, not as a bragging but sometimes also crying phrase.

For sure I’m committing mistakes left and right. But you know what: I own them all.
