We are excited to share our new logo with our community (as well as an introduction to The RecoverED Project for anyone new to our community, hi, we are happy you are here)! Over the last several months our team has been reflecting on our growth, impact, and goals as an organization. One common theme among every goal, every story, and every program is our focus on community and shared belief that no one should feel alone in their recovery. With that in mind, we wanted our logo to reflect this core value, and are excited to share our new logo as we walk hand in hand as a community. For those who have been a part of our community, or supported our community quietly, we appreciate your presence. For those who are new, or are maybe seeing our page for the first time, we are honored to share our story and work with you. We are excited to share that our Founder and CEO, Cami Nelsen, was awarded the Rising Light Award at the SAVE Family Foundation gala this month for her work with The RecoverED Project. From Cami: “When I began working on The RecoverED Project my junior year of high school, I didn’t know much about nonprofit organizations or advocacy. What I did know was that I felt a deep sense of purpose in helping others facing eating disorders, and I wanted to do everything I could. Nearly five years later, that purpose has only grown. I feel so fortunate to see our team’s work recognized, and I know this is just the very beginning of a long road ahead as we continue advocating for mental health and eating disorder awareness and action.
