A girl in wartime Nagano, drawing to survive her own hallucinations. A woman who landed in New York with almost nothing and outshone every artist in the room. An artist who checked herself into a Tokyo hospital in 1977 and kept painting there, every single day, for nearly fifty years.

She called it self-obliteration: dissolving the ego until you belong to the cosmos. Each dot a sun, a moon, a life. Never one alone.

The dots were never decoration. They were how she stayed.

Thank you for the infinity. ⚫️✨

POV: You pause to admire someone’s art and go on to have a wholesome conversation with them.

Meet Harriet, an artist we met at Kampala Art Market in Uganda, who believes art can lift your mood and spark inspiration.

We all reach a point where the questions get deeper💬
How do I feel alive?
How do I connect deeper?
Google can’t answer that.
No algorithm can guide you there.
So we built a journey
Where the deeper work happens underneath.
All you have to do is play✨

While wandering in Athens, I stopped for 1 minute, as the music drew me. While immersed in beauty of the music, I noticed more details, a sleeping toddler besides her mom playing the music, and a kid in red jacket wandering around his mother but very conscious to not only not disturb his mom but also check in on his little sisters. It drew not just me, but a huge crowd. One minute turned into many. If one opens their eyes and minds, so much beauty lies in front of us. <3 homo sapiens. @streetmicroconcerts taken in Athens, Greece by @thereflectorystudio

At the Venice Biennale 2026, immersed in awe-strucking art, I gravitated towards certain artworks. This artwork by @qadamawi revealed so many details as i zoomed into it and spent time with it. The medium of using rhinestones also made me curious in how different materials can be used to create artworks. Art is after all, free expression. And the Biennale is a platform for the freely expressed.

@labiennale revealed a vast array of art/ideas. I use terms interchangeably because in the biennale, imaginative & deep & thoughtful ideas were expressed through art. Art and ideas merge. And that makes both ideas and art evolve. taken in Arsenale - Venice Biennale by @thereflectorystudio

The Persistence of Memory, 1931, Salvador Dalí.

What happens when time stops behaving the way we know it?

In The Persistence of Memory, melting watches, ants, a snail-like form and a dreamlike landscape come together in Dalí’s surreal world.

The melting watches suggest time slipping away, while the painting’s strange, almost dreamlike setting blurs the line between reality and imagination. Dalí himself said that the painting’s enigmatic meaning and unconscious content were hidden even from him.

Perhaps that’s what makes it so intriguing: the more we look, the more questions we find.

Frida Kahlo turned her own life into art.
In The Two Fridas (1939), she painted two versions of herself, revealing the different sides of her identity, love, and loss.
Look closely. The story is in the details.

Would you believe that these artworks are made from bottle caps, seeds, fabric scraps, and paper?

One of our favourite parts of visiting Kampala's Arts & Craft Market is hearing the stories behind the art and meeting the hands & people that create them.🫂

If this made you smile, we'd love it if you shared it to your story. Every share helps more people discover and support local artists.💬

Every few weeks, our Art Discovery Machine spins 🎡

And wherever it lands becomes the world we explore next. 🖼

This time, it has landed on Surrealism. 🍏

A dreamlike art movement where the impossible feels strangely real, ordinary things become unfamiliar, and imagination takes over.

Over the next few weeks, join us as we explore the imaginative world of Surrealism.

Stay tuned. 🎰

What if a dream refused to end when you woke up?
Surrealism took the strange, irrational, and impossible and placed it right inside everyday life.
Melting clocks, floating figures, impossible rooms.
Reality, with the rules switched off.

🍏 René Magritte - The Son of Man (1964)
Magritte deliberately hides the man’s face behind an apple. The painting plays with visibility and concealment, we can see the object clearly, but the person remains impossible to fully see.

#renemagritte

🕰️ Salvador Dalí - The Persistence of Memory (1931)
The melting clocks are Dalí’s most famous image, turning our usual idea of time as fixed and measurable into something fluid and unreliable. The barren landscape makes the dream feel even more unsettling.

#salvadordali

☕ Meret Oppenheim - Object (1936)
Oppenheim covered an ordinary teacup, saucer and spoon in fur, making something associated with comfort suddenly impossible to use. The work became an iconic example of Surrealism’s fascination with making the familiar strange.

#oppenheim

🐘 Max Ernst - The Elephant Celebes (1921)
Ernst transformed a grain-storage vessel into a bizarre mechanical creature, combining unrelated forms into something that feels both familiar and impossible. It’s a classic example of how Surrealists used unexpected juxtapositions to create dreamlike imagery.

Someone recently asked me how I am able to build a world around a School of Magic. I responded instinctively and instantly..."Well, I went to one". @thelawrenceschool.lovedale

Recently, in Chennai, playing football after years with my amazing 04-13 batch mates nudged me to create this little teaser video.

Something is on the way. More soon.

Also, thanks to the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan for its valued support for this venture, where one of the realms draws passionately from Kazakh culture.

We are mostly water, carrying thoughts.

And even when we “do nothing,” the brain doesn’t really go quiet. Its default mode network keeps wandering, remembering, imagining, rehearsing the self.

Perhaps that is why moments when the mind finally quiets feel so strange.

For a creature made largely of water, stillness may be one of our rarest states.
