1. He plans regular date nights for us like he did from day one & books the reservations + childcare without being asked to šŸ„‚
2. He makes my latte every morning & leaves me a sweet little love note to wake up to šŸ’•
3. He cooks, cleans, does laundry & doesn’t expect a Nobel prize for doing so 🧺
4. He records games & watches them later so he doesn’t make us schedule our entire lives around fantasy football šŸˆ
5. He packs his & the kid’s bags for trips & doesn’t let me carry a thing. Plus he handles all travel logistics āœˆļø
6. He opens every door, looks at me like I’m fine art & doesn’t believe in 50/50 šŸ’…
7. He has never yelled at me, called me names or belittled me EVER (shouldn’t have to mention this b/c it’s obvious bare minimum… BUT it needs to be named b/c sadly it’s wayyyy too common).
8. He gets the kids ready, makes lunches & takes them to school every morning so I have time for my morning practice šŸ§˜ā€ā™€ļø
10. He repairs quickly, chooses connection & emotional safety over needing to be ā€œright,ā€ remains respectful when we disagree & actually wants to understand how I feel… even when he sees it differently. šŸ‘©ā€ā¤ļøā€šŸ‘Ø
11. He’s kind & loving, but he’s not a people pleaser or a pushover. He speaks open& honestly (even when it’s uncomfortable) and lives w/ utmost integrity. This has built deep trust & emotional safety in our relationship. B/c of this I can actually relax & trust in his leadership.
12. 6 years in and he still calls/texts me throughout the day just to hear my voice & connect. Not out of obligation- but b/c he actually likes & loves his wife.
13. When he gets home from work he connects with me & the kids right away. No TV/scrolling, no ā€œsorry honey I need a break after work.ā€ He uses his commute to decompress so he’s present, helpful and involved when he comes home to us. šŸ
14. He listens… like actually REALLY listens & hears what I’m saying without checking out or running which creates safety for my nervous system 🧠
15. He keeps his word & follows through on promises b/c duh.
16. I don’t have to ask… he just gets it done āœ…
17. He always puts me & the kids 1st ā¤ļø

As a dating widow I had to sift through a lot of fears, doubts & extra noise. I got crystal clear on what I wanted & let go of anything that wasn’t that.

These mindset shifts became the core beliefs I anchored into that allowed me to call in my now husband and love of my life ā¤ļø

1. ā€œI fully own my widowed mom statusā€ -
It’s not ā€œbaggage,ā€ it’s life, and the king I’m looking for isn’t interested in some unaffected, inexperienced little girl. He wants a Queen who knows her worth, is resilient and can handle the storms of life.

2. ā€œIt’s not about comparing one love story to the otherā€ - it’s about creating an entirely new one that is aligned for me in this new season of my life.

3. ā€œGrief & loss hasn’t ā€œbrokenā€ meā€-
it has stretched my capacity to love even MORE, because I have met myself more deeply than most people ever will in this lifetime.

4. ā€œIt is better to love and to lose, than to never love againā€-
My heart has already broken a thousand times over and grown back together stronger every single damn time. I can survive another heartbreak.

5. ā€œYes I am older… and that makes me wiser and better now for itā€-
I’ve been married before which is an advantage. I know what I’m looking for and what will & won’t work for me in a partner.

6. ā€œIf it’s not a full body yes, then it’s a NOā€-
My time and energy are precious. I will not waste them. Now is the time to be ruthless about what I will and will not accept. No making excuses or sacrifices for a person who hasn’t earned that from me yet.

7. ā€œI am already whole. I do not need a partner to complete meā€-
I am, first and foremost, in a relationship with Source, therefore I am never alone. Anyone I choose to date only adds to my already whole and complete life.

8. ā€œOnly I know what’s best for meā€-
I trust myself & my gut. I will not doubt myself, limit myself or judge myself based on what other people feel is appropriate or right for me.

9. ā€œI deserve loveā€-
I will not punish myself for still being alive + having human needs & desires after my person has died. I fulfilled my vows & he would want this for me just as I would for him.

Save this post for when you need some encouragement ā¤ļø#datingwidow by @theremarriedwidow

-Asking a woman ā€œso what do YOU bring to the tableā€

-ā€œ50/50ā€ relationships where the woman still does way more - carries the baby, births baby, nurses around the clock, is the default parent, does most of the housework, carries the mental load AND STILL pays half? Sorry… but 50/50 isn’t actually possible & is just another way to extract more from women.

If you’re tired of the low effort, emotionally unavailable connections and are ready for the kind of love that is soulful, emotionally safe, consistent, doesn’t ask you to shrink and feels like peace to your nervous system, you’re in the right place 😘

A lot of the current dating advice out there telling women to never even OFFER to pay on a first date is not it…
ļæ½it makes you look entitled, ungrateful, and immature.

Offering to pay isn’t lowering your standards.ļæ½It’s called having manners.
And ironically, offering actually tells you MORE about the man.

Because a gentleman who is genuinely interested in you will always insist on paying anyway. Not because you demanded it…but because he WANTS to.
It’s vital to observe what a man naturally WANTS to provide when there’s zero force or expectations.

By offering, you give him the opportunity to reveal his intentions and character.
If he happily lets you pay on a first date?🚫He’s not that serious about you, not generous, and not a gentleman.ļæ½None of which deserves a second date.

But if he IS serious about you, your offer won’t offend him.ļæ½It will show grace, appreciation, and maturity, rather than entitlement.

And a truly good man who is chivalrous, intentional & actually wants to provide is not interested in an entitled princess.

šŸ’He wants a Queen to build something meaningful with.

A woman with class always offers.
A gentleman wouldn’t dream of letting her pay.

If you’re tired of the low effort, emotionally unavailable connections that don’t last & ready for a devotionak, once in a lifetime kind of love that actually lasts, you’re in the right place 😘

And you won’t be navigating double standards just to keep the peace.

Truth shouldn’t require pressure or interrogation.
& a good man won’t make you feel crazy for wanting clarity.

ā€¼ļøThis is crucial to pay attention to early on. People who lie about little things will lie about big things later…

1) don’t spiral.
When you lose your sh!t you lose your power & it will be difficult to get an accurate read on his response.

2) don’t chase the truth.
If you have to interrogate him to get honesty, trust is already gone. Without trust, there’s no relationship.

3) don’t gaslight yourself!
This is where women get sucked into relationships w/ men who lie. They brush over something they shouldn’t b/c their desire to keep the peace & be chosen overrides their intuition.

Don’t convince yourself you’re ā€œoverthinkingā€ when your body is clearly communicating to you something is off.

Your nervous system picks up on micro-incongruence long before your brain can articulate it.

So here’s the move:

Stay calm.
And simply say something like:

ā€œHey, something about that doesn’t feel fully clear to me. Can you help me understand?ā€

And that’s it.

Not 30 follow-up questions.
Just an invitation for clarity.

Then observe.

An honest man will:
• Slow down & calmly explain in more detail
• Offer context without defensiveness
• Care that you feel safe
• Clarify because he values trust

A man who’s lying will:
• Get irritated that you even asked
• Say you’re ā€œbeing dramaticā€
• Talk in circles
• Over-explain but never actually answer
• Turn it back on you

His reaction will tell you more than anything.

And if trust feels compromised?

You don’t threaten.
You don’t beg.
You don’t try to force reassurance.

You calmly say:

ā€œI’m not available for a relationship where there isn’t transparency & trust.ā€

Then you mean it & walk away if needed.

Notice how emotionally safe you feel with him.
A man who lives w/ integrity brings peace to your nervous system… not constant stress & confusion.

Final thought:
If you’re constantly questioning whether you can trust him, that alone is probably reason enough to leave.

Without integrity & transparency, there’s nothing.

They’re worried we’re going to use them for a $20 salad.
Meanwhile we’re worried they might physically attack us or worse…

wtf?!?!

The bar isn’t just low for men today…
it’s in actual f@cking hell.

Any man who says women are ā€œtoo pickyā€ right now?
Pay attention.

That’s not just a red flag…it’s a serious warning āš ļø

Because a man who resents women for having standards is a man who benefits from women having none.

And that’s not harmless.
It’s downright dangerous.

It’sā€œnot all men.ā€ šŸ™„
But it is 62 f@cking MILLION of them (and sooooooo many more) actively and insidiously assaulting women, normalizing this violence, and pushing the idea that women should tolerate less to be ā€œchosen.ā€ 🤮

Ummm…no thanks we’re good.

Ever single woman you know has been sexually assaulted/harmed/taken advantage of in some way by men.
Every. Single. One. Of. Them.
And it starts so early. 10, 11.
Disgusting 🤮

So no,
your standards are NOT too high.

They’re NOT the problem.
They’re your protection.

They don’t just filter out the wrong men,
they can literally save your life.

So keep the bar high.
Be selective. Be discerning. Be ā€œtoo much.ā€

Because the right man won’t be threatened by your standards…
he’ll happily meet them.

And if that means staying single?
Then so be it.
Nothing is worth sacrificing your safety for…

It’s not impressive. It’s literally the most basic, bar on the floor bare minimum.

If you’re ready to stop settling and start attracting the kind of love that has integrity, depth, devotion, and the emotional capacity to go the distance…you’re in the right place šŸ’—
