POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I have officially started my first draft — yesterday. I thought writing would be a lot harder to do and if I’m being honest with y’all, I took a week break to process that I was going to be actually writing again after being burnt out and only writing tidbits here and there. But with my outline, it was pretty easy. Now, did I follow my outline exactly? Yes and no, but that’s just part of the creative process. Things change quite a bit! Excited to draft the next chapter!

Talk to me about some recent books that you’ve purchased recently!

Not all in one go, but I’ve purchased Better in Black, Yesteryear, Anna Dressed in Black, The Manor of Dreams, and Ascension. I’ve already read The Manor of Dreams but I’m excited to read the rest! All of which I’ll probably pick up in October!

What’s the first book you’re reading to get you in the fall/spooky mood?

I picked up an oldie, Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake. It follows Cas who is a ghost hunter of sorts, following in the footsteps of his deceased father. He and his mother travel the world looking for dangerous ghosts to send away.

I ended up enjoying this book (I thought it was a standalone, turned out is a duology)! I’m a sucker for paranormal romance stories and the book did a good job sucking me in and keeping my attention! I’ll definitely add the second book to my tbr!

This song has been stuck in my head and has been helping me develop a really important scene that happens toward the end of the book!

Talk to me about your current read!

I’ve started my reread of Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare! If I’m being honest, I’m terrified of reading this book after rereading Lord of Shadows 🙈 but I’m equally excited to revisit the ending of this trilogy!

Been a while since I’ve done one of these. Figured it’s a good way to introduce the WIP I’ve chosen to work on(one of many): The Lost City. It’s an Atlantis x ATLA type of story :) #authorsofinstagram #amwri̇ti̇ng #amoutlining by @therese.nook
