"Vintage roads, quiet forests, and a town that still remembers yesterday.

1933 में एक शख़्स ने एक ख़्वाब देखा—एंग्लो-इंडियन समुदाय के लिए एक ऐसी बस्ती, जिसे वे अपना "मूलुक" कह सकें। उस ख़्वाब को हक़ीक़त का रूप दिया कोलकाता के व्यवसायी अर्नेस्ट टिमोथी मैकक्लुस्की ने, और जन्म हुआ मैकक्लुस्कीगंज का।

कभी यहाँ लगभग 400 एंग्लो-इंडियन परिवारों की रौनक थी। लेकिन द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध और भारत की आज़ादी के बाद समय ने करवट ली, लोग बिखरते चले गए, और आज इस ऐतिहासिक बस्ती में गिने-चुने परिवार ही बचे हैं। फिर भी, इसकी शांत गलियाँ आज भी अपने सुनहरे अतीत की कहानियाँ ख़ामोशी से सुनाती हैं।
