PLEASE understand that when you have a baby horse… naturally you start talking in a baby voice 😅😂

Kevin has been growing and it’s getting me more and more excited. He has been trying to run away from me when he see’s me with his halter… but I think it’s because he’s very attached to his pasture buddies. There’s not one day that looks the same when I’m working with him and that’s the fun part about all of it 🤍 I just want to give him a kiss on his face so badly haha

Maybe the fences are smaller this time, but it doesn’t make this chapter any less meaningful.

Coming back to a sport I’ve loved for most of my life, starting over in a lot of ways, and working my way back toward the rider I know I can become.

And somehow, my first show back is taking me right back to where I had my last one as a junior. Same arena. Different horse. Different life. Different rider.

I think that makes this one pretty special🤍 October 17th can’t come soon enough.

Still coming down from such an amazing weekend🥹🤍 My first show back in over a decade, getting to share it with my parents and my pup, and making new memories with Bubba made this one extra special.

I have SO much content from this weekend that I can’t wait to share, but for now I’m catching up on rest and editing when I can because I forgot how exhausting horse shows are😂🐴

The show is getting closer, and with each ride, things are starting to feel a little more like they should🤍

But there’s only so much we can change in the time we have left. So it’s about trusting the work we’ve put in and enjoying the process of getting back in the ring. My main goal is to have fun and enjoy the moment✨🤎

Getting show ready after 10 years away & I’m sooo excited🐴

I’m a freelance videographer, which already means I’m constantly filming, editing, answering emails, managing clients, and running my business.

But I also knew I could put that experience into trying to make content for myself and seriously pursue content creation.

So now I’m figuring out how to actually make content consistently without letting it become another thing I’m constantly scrambling to keep up with.

This is a little look at how I plan my content and try to make it all work.

Two full-time jobs. One calendar. We’ll see how this goes. 😂

Not every ride is going to feel good.

Sometimes you get a little humbled, and get some very clear reminders of what you still need to work on.

At this point, there isn’t much left to “fix” before the show. So for me, it’s less about trying to squeeze in one more training breakthrough and more about making the most of every ride I have with Bubba. It’s all part of the process. And honestly, this lesson was a pretty good boot camp.

Still chasing goals, but just a little slower this time🤎 not every day looks the same for me and my horses, and I’m learning that’s kind of the best part.

There’s less pressure on myself, I’m more focused, and I’m also learning to be okay with the feeling of starting over (even though it’s not entirely true). I know that the rider I’m becoming is one that benefits from the work that I’m doing now.

And even though going back to the basics doesn’t always feel fun at times, it is so so important to have those fundamentals for whatever the future looks like✨
