☔️ Singapore looks perfect… until the rain suddenly starts!🇸🇬 Save these tips before you come!

1. Don’t cancel your plans because of rain.
Singapore rain can be sudden and heavy, but it can also stop quickly. Keep your itinerary flexible.

2. Use the MRT whenever you can.
It’s usually the easiest way to get around, and many stations connect directly to malls or attractions.

3. Check the weather before leaving.
You can have sunshine in the morning and heavy rain later — so plan outdoor attractions around the weather.

4. Don’t stay too far just to save a little on the hotel.
Being close to an MRT station can save you a LOT of walking, time and transport costs.

5. You don’t always need cash.
Cards and contactless payments are widely accepted, but keeping a little cash is still useful for some smaller places.

6. Singapore is hot + humid.
Sunscreen, water and comfortable shoes are a MUST — especially if you’re planning to walk around all day.

7. Book popular attractions in advance.
Especially if you’re travelling during weekends or holidays.

Save this before your Singapore trip — these small things can make your holiday MUCH easier! 🇸🇬❤️

Singapore is beautiful all year, but choosing the right month can make a huge difference!🇸🇬

☀️ Best months to visit:

✅ February – April: Less rainfall, plenty of sunshine, and perfect for exploring attractions.

✅ July – September: Great for shopping, food festivals, and outdoor activities (expect occasional showers).

🌧️ Rainiest months:
⚠️ November – January: Northeast monsoon brings frequent and sometimes heavy rain. December is usually the wettest month.

💡 Good news: Rain in Singapore rarely lasts the entire day. Most showers are short, so don’t let the weather stop you from visiting—just carry an umbrella! ☔

🌫️ Haze in Singapore 🇸🇬 | What’s Happening and Why?

Have you noticed the hazy skies over Singapore? 🇸🇬 This is more than just a change in the weather. Here’s why it happens and what everyone should know. 👇

🔥 1. Forest fires: Haze is often caused by forest and land fires in neighbouring Indonesia, particularly in parts of Sumatra and Kalimantan.

🌱 2. Land clearing: Fires are sometimes used to clear land for agriculture and plantations. These fires can spread uncontrollably, producing large amounts of smoke.

🌿 3. Peatland burning: Dry peatlands can burn underground for long periods, releasing huge amounts of smoke and carbon into the atmosphere.

🌬️ 4. Wind direction: Winds can carry smoke from Indonesia across the sea to Singapore, reducing visibility and affecting air quality.

🫁 5. Health effects: Haze contains fine particles, including PM2.5, which can penetrate deep into the lungs. It may cause eye irritation, coughing and breathing difficulties, especially for children, older adults and people with existing heart or lung conditions.

🌧️ 6. Will rain help? Rain can wash some particles out of the air, but it cannot necessarily extinguish fires burning in Indonesia. Haze may return if the fires continue and winds carry smoke towards Singapore.

🌳 7. What can we do? Check Singapore’s air quality readings, reduce strenuous outdoor activities when pollution levels are high, protect vulnerable individuals and support efforts to prevent forest fires and protect peatlands.

💚 Remember: Clean air is not a luxury; it is a necessity. Protecting our forests means protecting our future.
