Our second #MeetTheOwner feature for Women’s History Month spotlights Sydney and Victoria. This dynamic duo is behind @theroambooth, a retro photo booth that partners with local businesses and events to create forever memories 💗

YW: What makes your business special or unique?
SV: The Roam Booth delivers that classic, sit-in photo booth experience in spaces where traditional booths usually aren’t an option. We can pop up in homes, small events, and local businesses without losing the cozy, enclosed feel people love. It goes beyond typical corporate setups and adds something memorable to more personal celebrations. It’s a real photo booth moment, not just an open ring-light photo station.

YW: What inspires you about the work you do?
SV: We love being connected to our community and celebrating alongside the people in it. Our work lets us help people capture memories during some of their most meaningful moments. There’s something special about turning a moment into a physical photo you can hold onto. Being part of those celebrations is what inspires us the most.

YW: What is your favorite project you’ve worked on recently?
SV: We’re especially excited about partnering with one of our favorite cozy cafés in Green Lake, @_pachacollective. We spent hours there planning and dreaming about what the Roam Booth would look like over our favorite chai at the café. It’s been fun dreaming up this idea at Pacha and now getting to host an event with them.

YW: How did you come up with the business idea?
SV: The idea grew out of our friendship and all the trips we’ve taken together over the years. Anytime we found a photo booth, we made it a rule to take pictures in it. Those photo strips became some of our favorite keepsakes from our travels. We realized how special it is to have something tangible that captures those moments. That’s what inspired us to start The Roam Booth and bring that same experience to our community.

We thought a Meet the Founder moment was long overdue ✨

We couldn’t be more excited about all the amazing pop-ups we have lined up for March, and we’re only about a month into being live!

We feel incredibly lucky to be part of a community that truly shows up for and uplifts local small businesses. It means the world to us.

If you’re curious about how the idea all started, check out @yelpwashington ‘s post for a little backstory.

But for now, enjoy a few fun facts about us, and meet me and Victoria 🧡 by @theroambooth

Heirloom Abbey’s first annual Time Traveler’s Ball is almost here ✨
We’ll be popping up at the historic Stimson-Green Mansion for an evening of live music, dancing, drinks, and a little time travel through fashion.
Come dressed to impress from any era — Ancient Rome, Renaissance, Victorian, Roaring Twenties, 1970s, modern black tie, or anything in between. Historical dress, vintage looks, and creative interpretations are all welcome.
Stop by The Roam Booth during the night for a black-and-white photo session — $7 per session and you’ll get two photo strips to take home.
Friday, September 25
Stimson-Green Mansion, Seattle

Our Summer Celebration is just around the corner and we can’t wait to see you there!

Swipe through to get a peak at our special guests including our live music and pop-up partners!

You may know Aisley as our bubbling barista, but did you also know she fronts @aisleyandtheaces - a group of college friends playing the genres of indie, pop, funk, and rock.

On Saturday you will hear them performing covers as well as original songs penned by Aisley, most of which are on an upcoming album of hers! Follow them on Instagram to find where they’ll be playing next throughout Seattle or find Aisley’s music on all streaming platforms.

@theroambooth was founded by two Seattle best friends who missed the intimacy of an enclosed photo booth, $7 for 2 photo strips, come by and capture a moment to hold onto forever.

As an aside - Sydney from the Roam Booth posted about us on TikTok on our first day open. That TikTok sent a lot of people our way and she’s been supporting us ever since. We are so excited to come full circle and support her business too!

As a long time fan of @seattle_pops , we are so excited to have them pop up at our Summer Celebration and we know you will be too! (Seriously, y’all are always asking for ice cream). We love supporting a women-owned business that is paving the way for sustainability and community. And we can get behind their main goal to have every customer leave with a smile! by @theroambooth
