🚨 NEW SHOW ALERT 🚨

Hue And Cry are coming to The Robin on Friday 30th April!!

Brothers Patrick and Gregory Kane formed Hue and Cry in 1984 and the duo made a huge impact with the release of their debut album ‘Seduced and Abandoned’ (1987) which featured their first top ten single ‘Labour of Love’.

The follow up album ‘Remote’ continued the trend and produced the huge hits ‘Looking for Linda’ & ‘Violently’. Albums like ‘Stars Crash Down’, ‘Showtime’ and ‘Jazz Not Jazz’ ensured Hue and Cry’s continued successful run through the 90’s, whilst their 2005 appearances as finalists on ITV’s primetime show ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’, featuring their version of Beyonce’s ‘Crazy In Love’, thrust the band firmly back into the mainstream limelight.

This is your chance to see the duo in an intimate, setting where you can expect to hear their hits and rare material from across the 80s, 90s and 00's in an electro-acoustic style.

A limited number of early bird tickets are available so grab them while you can!!

🚨 NEW SHOW ALERT 🚨

Go West return to The Robin on Saturday 19th December!!

Peter Cox and Richard Drummie first met in 1974. They signed as songwriters with ATV Music in 1982 and as recording artists ‘Go West’ with Chrysalis Records two years later.

Their debut single ‘We Close Our Eyes’ was released in the spring of 1985. It reached number 5 in the UK charts and became a top 10 hit in the USA. This ‘overnight’ success was followed by three further UK top 10 hits – ‘Call Me’, ‘Goodbye Girl’ and ‘Don’t Look Down’. The album ‘Go West’ sold 2 million copies worldwide and remained on the UK chart for 83 weeks, establishing them as one of the finest song-writing partnerships to emerge in the 80’s. In 1986 they won the BRIT Award for ‘Best British Newcomer’ – the one BRIT which was decided by the listening public.

Six albums and 20 million sales later, Go West have enjoyed numerous chart singles worldwide, notably ‘King Of Wishful Thinking’, the opening song in the extremely successful film ‘Pretty Woman’. The film’s soundtrack has sold over 10 million copies. ‘King Of Wishful Thinking’ received ASCAP Awards in 1991 and 1992 as one of the most played songs on American radio. ‘Faithful’, the second single from their ‘Indian Summer’ album received similar BMI Awards in 1992 and 1993.

Sound of the Lioness are bringing the biggest hits of the legendary Amy Winehouse to The Robin on Friday 30th October!! ❤️‍

Formed in 2016, Sound of the Lioness (formerly known as “Amy – a Tribute”) is an 8-piece band with the goal of paying an authentic homage to the music of the late Amy Winehouse.

Complete with a full horn section and drawing inspiration from her incredible performances, the band accurately recreates the live sound of Amy’s touring bands of the 2000s, ranging from the jazz-inflection of the Frank era (2003-2004) to the soul-drenched Mark Ronson style of the Back to Black years (2006-2007).
