🍉💦 When the weather gets hot, Bruce knows exactly how to stay cool!

A refreshing watermelon spritzer for our handsome boy because, apparently, our ducks have a better summer beverage menu than we do! 😂🦆❤️

Our ducks are spoiled… and honestly, they deserve it! 🌿🍉

We simply couldn't have done this without you.

A heartfelt thank you to every volunteer, member, donor, and supporter who has helped make The Root 66 Garden what it is today.

Most of our 15 acres is covered with something edible. Every fruit tree, vegetable bed, herb, flower, and food forest planting is here because people like you gave your time, energy, and support.

But we're not done.

There is still so much more land to plant, food to grow, more families to serve, more children to educate, and more opportunities to create a healthier, stronger community. We need more helping hands to expand our growing spaces and make the most of every acre.

Whether you volunteer a few hours each month, become a FoodShare member, donate, or simply share our mission with others, you are helping us grow something that truly matters.

Thank you for believing in us and for being part of this incredible community. Together, we're growing far more than food. We're growing hope, friendships, knowledge, and a brighter future for everyone. 💚🌱

Sometimes the best thing kids can do is get outside, get dirty, and discover something new! 🌱

At The Root 66 Garden, we have programs that let kids explore nature, learn where food comes from, and get their hands in the dirt.

🌿 Root 66 Rangers for outdoor fun, gardening, and hands on learning

🎨 Kids Korner for nature play, creativity, art, and exploring the garden

🐛 Junior Ecologist by @wildbytetech for kids who want to discover the amazing world of ecology

🥕 FoodShare for Families to learn how to grow fresh food, harvest together, and help feed local shelters and food pantries

Less screen time, more sunshine, dirt under their fingernails, and memories that last! Come grow with us at The Root 66 Garden. 🌱

🌳🌱 Our free workshops are always a little bit of learning, a little bit of fun, and a whole lot of community!

This month, we had a great time learning about tree trimming and fertilizing with Nick, our amazing volunteer arborist! Thanks, Nick, for sharing your knowledge and helping us take better care of the trees at The Root 66 Garden.

We offer FREE workshops every month, and everyone is welcome! Come learn something new, meet great people, explore the garden, and have some fun along the way. Garden tours follow our workshops, too!

🌱 BIG THINGS ARE GROWING FOR KIDS AT THE ROOT 66 GARDEN! 🌱

We have several great programs for kids to get outside, get their hands dirty, learn about nature, and have a little fun along the way!

🌻 Kids Korner - link in bio
A hands on garden space where kids can explore, plant flowers, create art, enjoy nature, and let their imaginations run wild. From our Banana Creek barefoot walk to kid created art installations, there is always something to discover!

🌿 Root 66 Rangers - link in bio
Our program for kids ages 6 to 12 combines gardening, nature, hands on learning, and outdoor adventures. It's a great way for kids to learn where their food comes from while making friends and building a connection with the natural world.

🦋 @wildbytetech Junior Ecologist Program - link in bio
An opportunity for young nature lovers to explore ecology, discover how ecosystems work, and learn more about the plants, animals, and environment around them.

At The Root 66 Garden, learning doesn't have to happen inside a classroom! We believe getting kids outdoors, giving them room to explore, and letting them learn by doing makes a difference.

Come grow with us! 🌱
