We went to Bandung for a little while.
And, of course, we came back with something from kota kembang.
Along the way, we found a few things that felt worth bringing home to The Ruum.

Some times ago, we had the chance to visit Munduk Coffee & Farm in Gobleg Village, Buleleng — a journey made even more meaningful as it coincided with the first harvest season of 2026.
The farm carried a quiet energy — shaped by patience, careful hands, and the anticipation that always arrives with a first crop. Surrounded by the rhythm of harvest, we witnessed a season just beginning to unfold.
The beans we encountered were especially compelling, revealing a distinct character unique to this year’s harvest — vibrant, expressive, and full of promise.
The Ruum was given the opportunity to bring some of these first crop beans closer to Denpasar — carrying not only their flavors, but also the story, spirit, and dedication behind them.
In the near future, The Ruum will be presenting Munduk’s 2026 First Crop Harvest — a special offering that speaks of land, season, and the people who nurture it from the very beginning.

A few weeks ago, one of our friend ( @stevievania ) traveled to Melbourne and had the chance to stop by @axilcoffeeroasters — the roastery behind the World Barista Champion titles in 2022 and 2025.

While visiting, we explored several filter selections, and two coffees immediately stayed with us: Colombia La Divisa and El Salvador Francisco Recinos. Clean, expressive, and beautifully layered, each cup carried a distinct story from its origin.

That impression stayed with us, and we decided to bring these beans home as a little gift for The Ruum.

The Ruum Coffee - for contemplation.

We open our doors not because of the morning that comes,
But because of the gaps that surrounds us –
When the traditional market starts to close their stalls,
The floors are still wet from mopping,
And voices of selling and buying activities slowly disappear.

In Denpasar’s heritage area, a city’s identity is seen and felt through various forms.
Central to every aspect of life are Pura, alongside old shops lining up on the streets of Gajah Mada and Kartini — storing a long breath.
What once was both vibrant and quiet lives again through a different way.
The ruum is present during this timeline – not to rush, but to reside for a while.

Our opening hours exist because of rhythm instead of schedule.
The rhythm from work to rest,
From the scorching sun to the illuminating moon,
From a market, to a quiet space.

Coffee is brewed thoroughly and slowly.
Between the aroma of old wood stalls, burning incense and gamelan sounds flowing,
and history.

At our place, time isn’t chased. We let it move – and sometimes, we sit together.

The ruum is the space of in-betweens
Between afternoon and night,
Between the crowd and the silence,

One month ago, we opened our doors at The Ruum and began our journey in Bali.
Since then, your enthusiasm, your presence, and the kind words you’ve shared about our coffee have meant more to us than we can say.

We brew each cup with care, hoping it offers not just good coffee, but a moment —
a space to pause, to reflect, to contemplate.
