"What's Yet To Come" - written by Sam Chase
This song reflects on the timeless cycle of human experience—how every story, song, joke, and journey feels like it’s already been lived before. Yet, rather than falling into despair over repetition, it finds meaning in the unknown: We must acknowledge the weight of the past—our scars, our victories, our losses— yet recognize the hope and possibility that the future holds the promise of reinvention, resilience, and discovery. It’s both a meditation on inevitability and a celebration of uncertainty. Embrace the unknown as the space where growth, meaning, and becoming truly reside.

LYRICS:
"What’s Yet To Come"

Every songs already been sung
Every story’s already been told
Every word has been said
Written, printed and read
Every joke has already gotten old

Every mountain has already been climbed
Every treasure has already been claimed
Every trail’s been blazed
Every path has been paved
To make way for what’s yet to come

What’s yet to come
No body knows
What’s yet to come
Keeps us on our toes
What’s yet to come
Is the hope that the past that we wrote
Will help us go beyond where we’re from
What we become
Is what’s yet to come…

Every heartstrings already been plucked
Every gambler has run out of luck
Every born romantic
Makes it look so mechanical
Yet we’re still all in
Till they call our bluff.

Every Dog has already had its day
Every adventure is well underway
Every line of this song
Can’t put my finger on
Where I’ve heard it
No one can say.

What’s yet to come
Is just how it goes
What’s yet to come
Is right under our nose
What’s yet to come will erase
The past and replace it
With a new race that we’ve yet to run
What we become
Is what’s yet to come…

Every time that I count all of my scars
I take time to thank my lucky stars
All the times that I’ve been
At what I thought was the end
There’s a bend in the road that I am on.

What’s yet to come
Is all that we get
What’s yet to come
Is anyones bet
What’s yet to come
If we’re lucky
Is to see what’s still coming
And enjoy all the time we have left
What we’ve become
Is what’s yet to come by @thesamchase

ICE is un-American.
ICE doesn’t defend American values. It distorts them.
ICE enforces cruelty, not law.
ICE protects systems of power, not people.
In doing so, ICE moves us further from the ideals we claim to uphold.
So, 🔥 FUCK ICE. 🔥

If you are working for the Department of Homeland Security, this is an innocent song about my disdain for ice cubes. If you are not, this song is about the jackboot thugs of the American gestapo, who must be stopped.

I ran across an old Dropbox folder with some long forgotten treasures from the pandemic times. I recorded a bunch of videos in May of 2020 and many of them never saw the light of day since. Here is one of them, "Isn't It A Pity (Ode To San Francisco), 6 years later, and just as relevant as ever... unfortunately... taken in San Francisco, California by @thesamchase

@bottomofthehillsf on Thursday was one for the books. Shame it’s at the end of their book, but an honor to have graced so many pages over the years. taken in Bottom of the Hill by @thesamchase

Much ink has been spilled over the years into the skin of those who needed a permanent reminder of a time back when time could still stand still. Those times aren’t gone. Join us once again to mark the end of an era at @bottomofthehillsf on September 24th. Bottom Of The Hill may be shutting its doors and not making new memories after this years end, so we plan to create some memories that will last forever before then. Join us. @gingermolassesband will aid us in making sure this will be a night, and a venue that you will never forget. These memories will be permanent. taken in Bottom of the Hill by @thesamchase
