Heather made a guest appearance behind the bar on Friday for Final Final Fridays!

She was a regular Friday 5-9 shift bartender for many years, until she had a baby and went on the world’s longest maternity leave. 13 years now, we think. Maybe she’ll show up behind the bar every once in awhile now! taken in The Sandbar by @thesandbar

We're celebrating Final, Final Fridays with Phil from 1-9 pm today, featuring all your favorite old-school Sandbar snacks, jukebox songs, and bartenders! Rumor has it Heather is making an appearance, also...

Stop by and have another drink with Phil, write down a favorite memory and leave it in the box for him, and enjoy a Friday in downtown Lawrence! by @thesandbar

THIS WEEKEND!

We hope you're planning to join us for the annual Pickles & Pastalaya fundraiser for Kindness is the Key! It'll be set up at the Sandbar at noon on Saturday, Sept. 19.

Last year, because of your generosity, Kindness Is the Key was able to provide Christmas food and gifts to 63 local families.

You can buy pastalaya, spicy pickles (great for gifting!), La Familia salsa, PLUS there will be tons of raffle items available! Raffle tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10.

See you there! by @thesandbar

It’s Sandbar Block party day!

For the fifth year, we’ve invited @purebarrelawrence to host a FREE pop-up class in front of the bar on Saturday morning! The class starts at 9 a.m. and is totally free. Bring a mat or beach towel and water!

We promise, this class will be a great way to get you motivated for the day! And, as a bonus, everyone who attends the class will get a wristband for entry into the beer garden at the block party on Saturday night!

Email lawrence@purebarre.com to sign up! taken in Lawrence, Kansas by @thesandbar
