The Sedlec Ossuary is a Roman Catholic Chapel thats located beneath the Cemetery Church of All Saints in Kutná Hora, Czech Republic. The chapel is decorated with the bones of 40,000-70,000 people, arranged into chandeliers, coat of arms and candleholders.

Many of the remains belong to victims of the black plague, soldiers from medieval wars, and monks.

Legend has it that in the 12th century, a monk had brought back soil from Jerusalem, making this cemetery a very desirable burial site through Central Europe. The cemetery was overcrowded with thousands and thousands of people being buried. Around 1511 they tasked a half blind monk to exhume the bodies and start stacking their bones inside the ossuary.

As a practicing spiritualist, visiting this place felt overwhelming. Truly a paranormal feeling of suffocation, almost like I was drowning under some sort of invisible blanket. I can only imagine the untold stories here, the things left unfinished and the spirits still seeking closure in their life. Would you step inside ? #czechrepublic #travel #europe by @thesassytruth_

How many of these places do you recognize? 🤭

Could I barely breathe? Maybe. Did I have an incredible Halloween with my girls? Absolutely! She was giving thick and juicy Anne Boleyn realness! Loved how many people instantly recognized the costume 🥹! Swipe to the end to see a photo of me with my husband King Henry VIII 😂😂😂🤭🤭🤭

Anne Boleyn: the second wife of King Henry VIII, Queen of England, and arguably one of the most influential women in English history. 👑

A woman whose ambition, intelligence, and refusal to conform helped change the course of history. Henry VIII’s determination to marry her ultimately contributed to England’s break with the Roman Catholic Church and the birth of the Church of England.

She went from being the most desired woman in England to one of its most infamous queens, meeting her end at the Tower of London in 1536. Two years as queen, a lifetime of controversy, and a legacy that has lasted nearly 500 years.

Not every woman gets to change the course of a kingdom. 😉

Finally watched Sense and Sensibility… and my heart is so full! Truly a masterpiece… thoughts on it?

I am back with a road trip recommendation. I completed this route recently(honestly with a lot more 😅), and it is intense. I consider myself a traveler because my vacations focus on seeing as much as possible.

On top of that Scotland has been my favorite country I’ve visited so every time I am here I love getting lost and exploring as much as I can.

Please feel free to remove items if you need downtime. If you are unsure what to cut, ask me in the comments below, and I will give you my honest view. Let me know if you end up doing it!

Happy Travels my friends!

The Lone Piper is one of the most iconic moments of the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Standing high above the castle, the solitary bagpiper symbolizes courage, defiance, remembrance, and honor. His haunting melody pays tribute to Scotland’s history and to those who have served, creating a powerful finale that leaves the audience in silence before the celebration continues.

Probably my favorite view in all of Scotland. 🏔️✨

The Quiraing is one of the most dramatic landscapes in Scotland, shaped by a massive active landslip that created these otherworldly cliffs, peaks, and rolling green hills.

Standing here honestly felt like stepping onto another planet… or into a scene from a fantasy movie. 🌿☁️✨

Scotland is truly made of magic. Have you been to the Quiraing?! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Hidden within the mystical grounds of Blarney Castle in Ireland lies a place many visitors unknowingly pass by—a haunting circle of ancient standing stones.

While the Blarney Stone is famous for granting the gift of eloquence, these weathered stones tell a far darker tale.

Legend says a medieval chieftain returned here after a hard-fought victory, carrying the bodies of his two sons who had fallen in their very first battle. Overcome with grief, he ordered two of the nine standing stones to be toppled, forever marking the place where his heart was broken.

To this day, seven stones remain standing while two lie fallen—a silent reminder that not all legends are born from magic… some are born from unimaginable loss.
