I debated on if I should make this post but then I am in this space and this level of policing really really stands as a huge barrier for social impact.

Last week, I attended @theasisummit tagged
"financing for development".

As someone in the Finance and Social impact space, my two worlds did indeed, collide.

So many lessons but if I were to summarize i t
in 3 words. it would be "partnerships, diversification and results".

So much to learn and so much to do. Truly
grateful for the knowledge gained and the
people I met.

This February, we want to support 2 very intricate projects.

We are hosting a fundraising event to this effect.

In 2025, I had the opportunity to work closely with a health-focused NGO in Nigeria that had a powerful initiative designed to serve vulnerable communities. The vision was clear. The need was urgent. The passion was undeniable.

But there was one problem..FUNDING

Because of limited resources. What was meant to be a far-reaching project became only a small reflection of what it could have been. The work
was completed, and lives were touched, but far fewer than planned.

Sadly, this isn't rare. In the nonprofit space, you quickly see a pattern: many small, grassroots NGOs with the deepest community access and the strongest local trust are often the ones with
the least financial and strategic support.

They're closest to the problem, closest to the people, and closest to real change, yet farthest from the resources they need to scale their impact

That experience became the seed for The
Scharlet Fund. Because I believe that when the right support meets the right vision, transformation is not just possible-it's inevitable.

Sometimes the difference between a good idea and real, measurable impact is simply access to funding, access to strategy, and access to partners who genuinely believe in the mission.

We exist to be part of that difference. The journey just started. by @thescharletfund
