Hi, I’m Logan 👋🏻 And considering some of you have been here for YEARS, I think it’s probably time I properly reintroduced myself. @theschoolofstyling is a community for creative entrepreneurs, and I help women turn their ideas into businesses, their businesses into brands, and their online connections into real community. So whether you’ve been here since the beginning or somehow just landed here today.. Welcome to The School of Styling. I’m really glad you’re here!! #theschoolofstyling #femaleentrepreneur #communityofcreatives #communityovercompetition by @theschoolofstyling
Everything I learned at a weekend away with a group of entrepreneurs. We laughed. We encouraged. We dreamed. We shared. And here’s the best pieces of advice I’ll be carrying with me. #girlhood #entrepreneurs #30a #girlsweekend #rulesforlife by @theschoolofstyling
And by this, I mean staying with all your besties in a beach house and going to art galleries and drinking coffee and playing in the ocean and getting all dressed up and laughing until your face hurts. It was a good one! Thank you @southwalton & @hauteofftherack for the most magical weekend! by @theschoolofstyling
Sometimes the most productive thing you can do for your business is step away from it. Not because you’re giving up, but because it’s difficult to hear your own ideas when life is constantly asking something from you. A few days at the @gdhnola gave me a change of scenery I didn’t realize I needed. The thoughtful design, conversations over cocktails and afternoons by that beautiful pool created room for my mind to wander again. And that’s usually where creativity returns, right? It’s not when we force it, but when we give it somewhere to land. When I give myself the space for creativity, I feel more connected to the ideas I want to pursue, the experiences I want to create and the way I want my business to feel. As entrepreneurs, we’re often taught to treat rest as a reward for finishing the work. But after years of building @theschoolofstyling, I’m learning that rest is part of the work. It’s what will refill the creative well that our businesses are constantly asking us to draw from. The @gdhnola was such a beautiful backdrop for that reminder, and one I’ll carry with me long after checking out. Fight for the space to be creative. Your best ideas may be waiting for you there. #theschoolofstyling #supportsmallbusiness #gdnola #neworleans #entrepreneurship by @theschoolofstyling
The prettiest weekend I’ve ever had in my life with the most amazing girls and new besties I could ask for! @theschoolofstyling @doris_ione @felicitynola_ by @theschoolofstyling
Is there anything more stressful than realizing it’s 5 PM and you have no idea what to cook for dinner? I have something that’s going to change your life!! My friend Brandi created The One Pot Momma, an app filled with easy, delicious dinners made entirely in ONE pot, which means less prep, fewer dishes, and no more staring into the fridge wondering what to cook. After a full day of answering emails, the last thing I want to do is think about what I even have to cook, so the roll the dice feature is so great because it will decide what’s for dinner based on what groceries you already have! @theonepotmomma_ has truly thought of everything, and has made this working momma’s life so much easier! @theonepotmomma_ app is now live, so download it today and use code LOGAN10 for extra savings! #theonepotmomma #whatsfordinner #workingmom #momlife #lifehack by @theschoolofstyling
And that’s on community 🥹 What I love most about the workshops are the friendships and collabs that come from spending a few life-changing days together. We are a team, a cohort, a sisterhood. All of a sudden the scariness of building your own business feels a little lighter when you’ve got an incredible group of women cheering you on! If you’ve met a bestie or had an amazing collab happen after @theschoolofstyling workshop, share it with the class 📓 it’s truly the best part of the job! 🙌 #theschoolofstyling #girlhood #businessdevelopment #community #communityovercompetition by @theschoolofstyling
Creativity doesn’t usually show up because you suddenly have nothing else to do. You have to fight for the space to be creative. Fight for the hour on your calendar. Fight through the voice that tells you the practical things should come first. Fight the urge to wait until you have more time, more clarity, or a quieter season. Because creativity needs room. To make something that doesn’t have an immediate ROI. To follow an idea simply because it excites you. To remember the part of you that started creating before it became your job. At @theschoolofstyling, we believe creativity isn’t frivolous. It’s part of the work. #theschoolofstyling #supportsmallbusiness #communityovercompetition #dollyparton #entrepreneurship Workshop @theschoolofstyling Venue @felicitynola_ Catering @blackpearlcateringco Rentals + Decor @truevaluerental Paper Goods @invitobella Florals @doris_ione Photos @whitneymariephotography Content Creator @thehudsonsocial Cocktails @elguapobitters by @theschoolofstyling
This was a text message I got after the last workshop, an attendee told me her experience was “better than a Taylor Swift concert” and honestly I’m not sure my career will ever peak higher than this. 😂😭 Beautiful details are fun. Good speakers are important. Business education matters. But the room is the magic. The conversations. The encouragement. The friendships. The ideas scribbled into notebooks. There’s nothing quite like being surrounded by women who understand what it means to build something of your own. That’s what happens when you fight for the space to be creative. And you really just have to experience it.
