✨ We’re Not Your Typical Language School ✨

Let us reintroduce ourselves 🤍
We’re The Second Language.

An online language school that started because we believed learning a language should feel a lot more human… and fun.

No crowded classrooms.
No one-size-fits-all curriculum.
No awkward speaking in front of 30 strangers 😶‍🌫️

Just real teachers, real conversations, and lessons built around your life ✅🍀

Some of our students are planning trips.
Some are moving abroad.
Some need a language for work.

And honestly? We think that’s pretty cool! 😎

We’re here for the people who’ve always said:
“One day I’ll finally become fluent.”

Well, this is your sign to stop waiting for “one day”... Let’s make it happen! 🤍

This is what we teach at @thesecondlanguage_ : not just languages, but the skill of moving freely between words of meaning.

The 🧠 doesn’t switch languages it expands. Multilingual minds don’t store words in separate boxes. They build bridges between them. What looks like effortless switching is really a trained ability that you can learn also!

We teach ONLINE! 💻🛜👩‍💻

A little student love ✨🌼

Watching you become more confident, start speaking without overthinking every word, and actually enjoy the process is the best part of what we do.

Every little “I finally did it!” or “I can actually understand this now!” makes us so happy.

So here’s a little appreciation post for the people who make The Second Language what it is. 🤍

We’re so lucky to have you.

Apparently one side quest is never enough.

one day it’s “I should learn Italian,” the next it’s “wait… should I move to Florence?” 😂

anyway, we support the side quests.

what language is currently on your list? 👀

If you’ve ever said ESTO when you meant ESTE… you’re not alone 😅 Small detail, big difference! 🔥 #learnspanish #languagegoals #learnonline #thesecondlanguage #languagelearning by @thesecondlanguage_

❌ I’m convinced there are certain situations where your brain just goes:

nope. this one needs to be said in Italian.

or French.
or Spanish.

because somehow the English version is technically correct but emotionally… wrong. 😂

Like, you can know exactly what something means in English, but then you hear the expression in another language and suddenly you’re like OH. there it is. THAT’S the feeling.

Maybe that’s one of my favourite parts of learning languages. You start collecting little expressions that don’t really feel like translations anymore. They become yours.

The dramatic ones.
The unnecessarily specific ones.
The ones your teacher says once and you immediately decide you’re going to use for the rest of your life.

Anyway, here’s a completely scientific ranking of which language your next emotional crisis requires. 😂

Which phrase in another language do you swear just sounds better than it does in English?

👋🏼 Heyyyyy, thanks for accepting my AirDrop!!

A little birdy told me you’ve been trying really hard to learn another language.

And by “trying,” I mean downloading Duolingo, studying solo for 1 week and disappearing for 2, coming back motivated, and then repeating the cycle. 😂❌

Listen, I GET IT. Trust.

Learning a language is HARD when you’re doing it alone!

You start to wonder if you’re bad at languages, when really, you just haven’t had enough chances to actually use one.

That’s kind of why I started The Second Language!!! 🥰

I wanted a place where learning felt less like homework and more like talking to a friend who happens to be helping you learn Spanish, French, Italian or English!

Real conversations 🗣️
Real teachers 🧑‍🏫
Real progress ✨🍾

No judgment. No pressure. No robotic apps telling you “almost there” for the 87th time.

Anyway, just thought you should know 🤭✨

If learning a language is still on your vision board, send us a message 💌❤️

🫠 Be so for real… you’re not going to magically wake up fluent one day. At some point, you just have to start speaking! We’ll help with the rest 💛🗣️

So… when are we actually doing this? DM us! 👀💌

POV: you’ve been learning a language for 2 years and still panic when someone says “So… tell me about yourself.” 🫠

Yep. Been there.

You study the grammar, learn the words… and then your brain suddenly decides it speaks absolutely nothing.

That’s exactly why I created The Second Language.

I wanted a place where you can actually use the language, make mistakes, have real conversations, and learn things that make sense for your life.

No boring textbooks. No robotic lessons. Just real teachers, real conversations, and a little more confidence every time you speak. 🤍

If you’ve been waiting to feel “ready” to start speaking… this is your sign. 💬🌎
