Just a boy on his SIXTH birthday yesterday. 🥹

Happy birthday my Luka Bear. He wanted to go on a bike ride, go to the Pokemon store, and go hunting with his new bow!

And at the end of the night, do you know what he said? 🥹 The favorite part of his day was spending it with his family.

This kid has the biggest heart. He shared all of his gifts with everyone, he didn't want to spend anytime doing anything else but spending it with his family. 💓 I learn so much from him.

I may get hate for this... 😂 But a couple months ago, I had had it with my kiddos. I had repeated things all day multiple times and they still weren't listening. I was in tears and not sure how to help them listen. So I asked them, what can I do? What should I do to parent you guys better and help you understand?

Their reply... Well, why don't you just yell at us in Spanish mom? Ummm, okay. 😂

Every once in awhile, on a bad listening day, I try it again. And sure enough, it lightens everyone's mood, gets us laughing, and we move on, and somehow they listen a little better. 🤣

Please forgive my horrible Spanish. Hablo pokito espanol. Lol!

There comes a day in each of my pregnancies where I wonder how I can get any larger... And then am still pregnant for weeks, or months. Today was one of those days 😜😅 by @theshepherdsfoldranch

This craft with always be so transformative for me. From raising our sheep, to caring for their health, to shearing them, to skirting their fleece, to washing or scouring their wool, to drying it, and then combing it, making rolags, spinning, and then setting the twist in the yarn.

Slow crafts make you really really thankful for the products we can just simply order to our door, but it also helps you value the goodness of things around you.

I'm a quick paced person-go, go, go. Get it done quicker, experience all of the things. This craft has shown me the importance and beauty of slow. by @theshepherdsfoldranch

Life sure is pretty sweet. 💓

Through the years, I've learned that grief and hurt and hard and love are part of life. The "why God?" Questions may never be answered, or they may be answered later on. But, what I have learned through the hard, is that knowing the pits allows you to feel, to feel the deep pits and the high highs. It allows you to be ever so much more grateful for all of life's little things. It allows you to relate to others, to share in hardships in a new way, to build friendships in a more intimate way, that would have probably never happened before that.

I've come to a place where I know God is real, and I had to answer for myself whether I wanted to follow a God who allows bad things to happen. I came to a place that I've realized without freewill, God wouldn't really be good. He'd be a master who makes others follow Him. Freewill allows us to see God's goodness, but it makes us experience evil too. We see the dark and the light. And we have to choose for ourselves which we will follow.

On January 29th, of 2026 I gave birth (miscarried) to our sweet little girl, who I was only pregnant with for 10 weeks. She was loved, wanted, and cared for so much. She brought so much joy to us in such a short time. Ive walked through miscarriage with so many women, it hurts my heart. And I never thought I'd experience losing a baby myself. But I did. And I loved her and still do. And I have the hope I'll one day meet her again.

Soon after, we found out I was expecting again, with another little girl. Talk about grief and joy being held closely. We have been supported by so many in so many different ways. Sweet friends took their time to cook for us, to pray for us, to be with us in our grief. And they have been there to celebrate and enjoy and love on this next little love.

We are excited to announce we will be expecting this little girl at the end of December, maybe January? 🥰. Our boys are thrilled, we are thrilled, and we are so thankful for her, and those who have celebrated her with us. 🥰 by @theshepherdsfoldranch

Homeschooling is cool, for a lot of reasons. And it’s what works for our family in this season. ❤️

If you watched my last video on homeschooling-I encouraged reading good, living books to your kids. Why? Because good books allow you and your child to enter into a different world and it brings interest to learning, and it encourages their attention span. Many kids also can retain information from a story, more easily than a textbook. How cool is that??

Over the next few days, I’m going to post some of our favorite read alouds below. If you have any to share, please post them below, too!

I’ve been seeing this fallen tree that fell a few storms ago, each time we drive in our drive way. It had fallen on fencing Josh had just built. 😅 Thankfully, this pasture is resting, so it’s not used to fence in livestock at the moment.

Today, I was able to see it in a new light. Driving our side by side, my oldest quieted his voice, and whispered, “I kinda wanna balance on it!”

And there, once again, instead of another thing on our to do list, my boys remind me of wonder, of play, of laughter. ❤️

Until one of them pushes another off… 😆
