The last round…🥹

This is my Gratitude Blanket: a pattern from @thehomemademothers that taught me to crochet beyond my little dish cloths.

Each color represents something I am grateful for in the moment I crocheted that round and this stunning Fellowship Collection yarn from @badsheepyarn has my hobbit heart.😍

This keepsake will always be a reminder of my gratitude for the most important things in my life: God, my husband, my children, good health and nourishing food, the garden and the animals, peace and quiet, and trials that make me stronger.

If you want to learn how to crochet like this, go follow @thehomemademothers and get you some yarn—you won’t regret it!👣 by @thesimplehobbit

Sunny-side up topped with fermented tomatoes I made earlier this year.

The garden isn’t slowing down yet, and for that I am grateful. 👣 by @thesimplehobbit

Come back later this week for green chile cheddar scones!👣 by @thesimplehobbit

In light of all things dark and cloudy that have happened of late, I take heed to the reminder that I am but quite a little hobbit in a wide world after all… there is bounty to be grateful for, harvests to enjoy with the little feet planted safely beside mine, family traditions to come back to to keep us grounded and present, beauty to create for the ones I love, stories to help me escape (and come back), animals to tend to that bring us joy and provision, the Misty Mountains at my doorstep.

An entire world of wonder and awe resting in my fingertips as it whispers, “I’m here.”

Without each other, neither of us would exist.🌻 by @thesimplehobbit

Future Tolkien Room!🥹🥹

We moved into this house in November and the purpose of this room has changed many times.

From art studio to “green room” (plant starting room) back to art studio… this space was going to be “my” room. Now that we’ve settled into the home a bit more, this is going to be the perfect space to transform into my own little Bag End to find peace and rest. 👣 by @thesimplehobbit

How are you, dear friend?🌻
Eggs daily (thanks, ladies!)
Baby goats due this month (up to 6 are expected!)
Life goes on as usual, I’ll be harvesting the green chile for scones this week (video and recipe coming soon). by @thesimplehobbit

A snail at the day spa… there were thousands of them!🐌
Went for a massage this morning and almost got in several car accidents on the way there… and back again… oh, and I recently found out I have AuDHD (Autism + ADHD) and so many things throughout my whole life just make so much sense now.
I’m processing a lot, and these near crashes today created a lot of unwanted sensations and emotions… I will never understand the way people drive but now I’ll be recovering the rest of the day, most likely under a blanket with LotR… because LotR makes everything better, right?
Anyway… I’ll get back to making life vloggy content on Monday!👣🫶🏻 by @thesimplehobbit
