Stop relying on ChatGPT for everything -especially scientific illustrations.
We have far more specialized tools and websites for that.
BioRender leads the list.
Note: Not all of them are free.

Tried and tested these tools and they are really great!

I have been the most inconsistent when it comes to posting and maintaining this page actively. Not because I was bored or because I had no ideas, but because, many times mind you, many times the thought of giving up crossed my mind.
But there is something so surreal about the goals and career you dream of building in life. Somehow, even when you feel like giving up, that vision eventually holds you back from letting go completely.
And I think that is exactly what is happening with me right now.
I may not always be consistent. I may disappear for a while, struggle, overthink, or question everything. But somewhere deep down, the goal still matters enough to make me keep going.
I hope this phase, too, shall pass. 🤍

Know Your Study Design: Randomized Controlled Trial(RCT) vs Cross-sectional vs Cohort
Confused which one to use?
 • RCT: Assign and test. Gold standard to check if a treatment works.
 • Cross-sectional: Point-in-time view . Good for “how common is this?”
 • Cohort: Follow people over time. Best for “what causes what?”

So the next time you come across these terms, you will know exactly what they mean!

Reference management software is a tool that helps researchers collect, save, organise, and cite research papers easily. It makes it simple to manage references and automatically create citations and reference lists while writing research articles or theses.
Instead of adding citations manually, it is recommended to use reference management software from the beginning. Reference management software also provides a Microsoft Word extension (plugin) that allows you to insert in-text citations and generate reference lists automatically while writing in Word.

P.S. We personally use Mendeley and Zotero, and they have worked amazingly well for us.

One of the best habits you can develop as a researcher is organizing your literature from day one.
This is the same method we extensively use while conducting literature reviews, systematic reviews, and manuscript writing so you can confidently rely on it to organize your research.
Whether you are an undergraduate, postgraduate, PhD scholar, or researcher, this tracker can help you manage your papers more efficiently. Record important details like the study design, sample size, methods, questionnaires, key findings, strengths, limitations, research gaps, and your own notes all in one place.
✨ P.S. This sheet is prepared only as a sample template. Feel free to customize it by adding or removing columns based on your research needs.

You can choose any one of these and start learning from YouTube or online hands-on classes.
Pro tip: Also try learning Advanced Excel,it’s still the base for all data work.
Pick one, practice with your own data, and you’ll see the difference ❤️
