Hot take: if your fine lines are coming from dehydration, more actives probably aren’t the answer.. more hydration is 👀 #skinfixpartner

Fine lines can look a lot more dramatic when your skin is dehydrated but that doesn’t always mean you need to reach for retinoids. Sometimes your skin just needs more water and better barrier support.

One product I’ve been loving for that is the @skinfix Triple Lipid Activating Serum. It uses three skin-compatible peptides to deeply hydrate, visibly plump fine lines and support the skin barrier, which makes it such an easy step to add when skin is looking a little dull, crepey or depleted.

Pro tip: if your skin is especially dry, layer it underneath the Skinfix Triple Lipid-Peptide Cream to help seal in that hydration and support your moisture barrier even further.

So before you start overcorrecting with more actives, try giving your skin the hydration it’s asking for first. 💧 by @theskngrl

AD | One thing I’ve learned as an esthetician is that when skin is consistently dry, itchy or uncomfortable, simply applying more moisturizer isn’t always enough. Supporting and strengthening the skin barrier is key to helping bring that comfort back.

That’s why I’ve been reaching for @uriagecanada Xémose C8+ Anti-Itch Relipidating Balm. Formulated with 8 biomimetic ceramides, it helps restore and strengthen the skin barrier while nourishing and soothing very dry to atopy-prone skin with 48-hour anti-relapse action to help prevent itching from returning.

And what I especially love is that it’s made for the whole family. Because when dry, uncomfortable skin can affect anyone, sometimes the best skincare staple is one everyone can reach for 🫶🏾

Adorned in Rosé 💖🇯🇲

Playing mas was such an ancestral experience that for whatever reason, I have never experienced before. To be a Caribbean woman, a Jamaican woman specifically, means confidence, unnecessarily huge sense of pride with a sprinkle of a superiority complex.

I wanted to use Emancipation Day to honour the resilient people I come from, I wanted to honour my body and everything it’s been through over the last few years and to be able to feel THIS beautiful again has me feeling quite fulfilled.

Long story short, shoutout to my ancestors and I’m still hot 🥵
