From colleagues to friends, to a late-night bowl of noodles and a stroll through 24-hour Kmart… Meaghan & Paulo’s love story has always been about the little things. Years later, Paulo proposed in Tokyo, on a quiet trail to Meiji Shrine, before celebrating with Tabi boots, cocktails, and scooter rides through the city streets.When it came to their wedding, they wanted it to feel like their perfect Saturday night in Melbourne—local, cosy, chic, and a little gritty. From a rainy stroll through the CBD to an intimate ceremony at the Registry Office, then a feast at their Collingwood favourite, Builders Arms (complete with a whole lechon), every detail was deeply personal.Meaghan wore a restored Catherine Rayner vintage gown, Paulo honoured his heritage with a custom embroidered Filipino barong and jacket, and their friends and family filled the room with candlelight, flowers, music, and love.The night ended with cocktails in Chinatown, a tiny red umbrella, and handwritten vows back at their hotel—just the two of them.
