Less is more.

How often are we way too comfortable with being comfortable? I think my friend @serena.rayen said it best. “I don’t want to ever live life within my own capacity. Yearn for opportunities that allow yourself to trust God more.”

As someone who loves control (who doesn’t) it’s something worth surrendering. Life is WAY more worthwhile when it’s not in our hands… promise!!! 🌈🤍✨🤸‍♀️ taken in Chapelton, Jamaica by @thesmileybean

Rest has always been an obscure topic for me. What actually is rest? A massage? A day of doing nothing? A vacation? A movie? A spa day? I could be doing all of those things yet my mind would still be worrying about the 53461 things I needed to get done (anyone else relate? 🫣). Everything I mentioned above aren’t bad things, but were merely quick fixes for what my soul was actually designed for. We live in a world that tells us to make more, do more, be more - no wonder rest has a bad reputation.

Both sin and busyness have the exact same effect - they cut off your connection to God, to other people, and even to your own soul. If Jesus needed to rest and withdraw from the hundreds of crowds, who am I to think that I don’t? I used to take a lot of pride in being busy, I thought constant productivity was impressive, but not having the discipline to slow down and recharge really cost me. Everything that the world says will give your life meaning is strapped to the busyness of endless labor. Resting in Jesus and His provisions is the antidote to a life that is never satisfied and my life is much more purposeful, content, and peaceful because of it. What if we stop resisting or feeling guilty for the rest we actually need? We don’t just need it, God designed us to need it... He designed us to need Him. So cease the striving, cease the pleasing. My soul was made to know my Maker and He wants you to know Him too. :) 🤍 taken in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico by @thesmileybean

✨ Member Spotlight: Anna Huynh ✨

This month, we’re highlighting Anna Huynh, a nurse, Pure Barre instructor, and valued member of the J4 community.

Anna shared how J4 has encouraged her through mentorship, meaningful relationships, and wisdom from women across a variety of industries. She also offered a powerful reminder that living out our faith at work often looks less like having all the right words and more like showing up with integrity, humility, and a servant’s heart.

One of our favorite takeaways:

“Faith without works is dead. Actions will speak a lot louder than your words.”

Whether she’s caring for patients, encouraging coworkers, or investing in her community, Anna exemplifies what it looks like to honor God through everyday faithfulness.

We’re grateful to have you in the J4 community, Anna. 💛

A few weekends ago I had the honor of celebrating 150 years of @fpcorlando and what would have been my grandfather’s 96th birthday—two milestones, on the very same weekend, representing two families I am humbled to belong to. I’m still in awe that I am alive to witness beautiful examples of generational faithfulness.

I never got to meet my grandfather. Everything I know about him comes from stories—stories of a man who lived a life marked by purpose, faith, and service. When a
neighbor became widowed, he paid for the funeral service and gave their family the means to start again. When there was no place to worship, he provided the resources to build a church. When a prisoner of war’s family was without, he taught them to be self sufficient by giving them a skill and the tools to make a livelihood. He spoke 4 languages so he could better love + communicate with his neighbors. He generously cooked meals for others while never expecting anything back in return. He loved his family beyond measure. There will always be an inexplainable grief as I yearn for someone I’ve never met. But I’m reminded that I am the granddaughter he prayed for before I ever existed—a product of his faith in Christ. I am so honored to be his granddaughter and to follow his legacy. I hope he is proud of me just as much as I am of him. (Continued in comments) by @thesmileybean

Singleness isn’t a waiting room.

It’s not a placeholder.

For J4 member Anna, this season is an opportunity to grow deeper with God, to become who she’s called to be, and to live fully without regret.

Not rushing to get to the next season, but embracing the one she is in now with God.

Whether you’re single, married, or somewhere in between, the question is the same:

Are you stewarding the season you’re in?

J4 is a space for conversations like this. A safe, honest space for women to share their real-life challenges and joys, all in a like-minded community of faith. taken in The Country Club Of Orlando by @thesmileybean

Merry Christmas!!! We decorate and celebrate, but mainly do so to mark the memory of God’s redemptive movement into our broken world. There would be no Christmas without Jesus - the best Christmas gift evaaa!!! 🎁🎄🌟 by @thesmileybean
