4 Years Clean and Sober🎉

Today I reached four years clean and sober, and my heart feels full in a way that is hard to explain. This journey has taken me through breaks, rebuilds, and rebirths, and it has shaped me into someone I can stand behind with pride. I have learned that strength does not always look loud. Sometimes it looks like choosing yourself in quiet rooms. Sometimes it looks like walking away. Sometimes it looks like beginning again.

This fourth Soberversary means even more because I am celebrating it in my mother country of Panama 🇵🇦 . There is something powerful about walking these streets with a clear mind and a steady spirit. Being here feels like touching the root of who I am. It feels like meeting the younger version of myself with open arms and telling him he made it. He survived. He grew. He became a man who honors his own life.

Sobriety has opened doors I never expected. My fitness journey became a path back to discipline and joy. My professional growth took on new purpose, new confidence, and a new sense of direction. My sense of self grew sharper and more honest. I learned what peace feels like. I learned what real brotherhood looks like. I learned how it feels to be guided, protected, and carried by something greater than me.

I thank God for the strength He poured into me on the days I had none. I thank Him for the people who stayed, the people who prayed, and the people who saw more in me than I saw in myself. I thank Him for every step that led me here.

Four years clean and sober. Four years of choosing life over survival. Four years of walking toward the man I was always meant to be.

If my story reaches anyone who feels lost, let this be your sign. You can rise. You can heal. You can build something new with your own hands.

I am living proof.

Thanksgiving Message…

At the top of this year, I stepped on the scale at 297 lbs and knew something had to change. Today, on Thanksgiving, I’m standing at 208 lbs — 89 pounds down and a different man in every way.

This year looked like real work:
• 1,396 miles cycled
• 1,550+ total miles moved
• 150,000+ calories burned
• 230+ workouts completed
• Six extended water fasts
• Exact sobriety today:
• Alcohol: 3y 10m 1d
• Drugs: 3y 10m 1d
• Weed: 11y 6m 5d

Those fasts drew me closer to Christ. When my body felt empty, my prayers were full. When I felt weak, God met me in the quiet and reminded me who I am.

I didn’t walk this alone.

To my brothers and friends who encouraged me, prayed for me, checked in, or pulled up to workouts in solidarity — thank you. You carried weight that never shows up on a scale.

To my founding partner, thank you for pushing me with that percentage challenge. You lit the spark that turned into this transformation.

To @levelonefitness and my trainers — thank you for the structure, the honesty, and the accountability. You helped me stay locked in.

To everyone who followed this journey, sent a message, showed love, or quietly rooted for me — I appreciate you more than you know.

And to God — thank You for strength, clarity, discipline, and a new way of walking through the world. Thank You for meeting me in every fast, every workout, every early morning and late night.

I’m still becoming, but I’m not the man who stood at 297. Today, I’m grateful for renewal, sobriety, peace, and the people who stood with me.

🎉 3 YEARS CLEAN & SOBER 🎉

Three years ago, I made the decision to change my life, and here I am, celebrating this incredible milestone with my closest brothers in the beautiful Dominican Republic. 🌴✨

Sobriety has been a journey of growth, resilience, and grace, and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to honor this moment than with my day ones by my side, surrounded by breathtaking views and good vibes. 🙌🏾

Three years of choosing clarity over chaos. Three years of showing up for myself and the people I love. Three years of proving to myself that the best version of me is unstoppable. 💪🏾

To my brothers, thank you for your support and for making this trip unforgettable. Brotherhood is everything. And to everyone on their own journey, keep going—you’re stronger than you think.

What They See Is What They’ll Be. 💯🖤

Another Saturday morning well spent investing in the next generation of Black leaders!

This morning, I had the privilege of joining my brothers of the 100 Black Men of Metropolitan Houston for a mentorship session centered on PROFESSIONALISM with our young scholars.

We discussed the importance of first impressions, effective communication, personal presentation, accountability, respect, and understanding how the way you carry yourself can open doors long before you ever walk through them.

Professionalism goes beyond a suit and tie. It’s about character, preparation, confidence, and showing up with intention in every room you enter.

One of the greatest responsibilities we have as Black men is to make sure the next generation has access to the guidance, examples, and opportunities that will help them succeed.

Grateful to serve alongside brothers who understand that mentorship is a commitment to showing up, sharing what we’ve learned, and helping our young men recognize their own potential.
