🩷💙 Today, we honor and remember every family whose life has been forever changed by pregnancy and infant loss.

We stand with the mothers, fathers, and families who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), newborn loss, and every form of pregnancy and infant loss.

We honor the babies who were loved from the moment they were dreamed of, the little hearts that stopped beating far too soon, the babies born sleeping, and the precious lives that were here for only a short while.

We recognize the parents who never got to bring their babies home, those who returned home with empty arms, and those who had to say goodbye after experiencing the joy of holding their little ones.

Every baby has a story. Every loss matters. Every family deserves to be remembered, supported, and surrounded by love. 🕊️

At The Soft Place to Land, our mission is to remind you that your grief is valid, your love is everlasting, and you do not have to walk this journey alone.

Today, we light a candle for the babies we hold in our hearts instead of our arms. 🕯️

Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. 🤍

Grief has a way of reminding us just how deeply someone touched our lives. 🤍

Today, I had the honor of speaking at the Celebration of Life for Denise Reedus, a woman who began as one of the providers I supported, but became so much more to me.

Denise was witty, funny, thoughtful, giving, and full of personality. She loved her husband, Paul, her family, her patients, and the people around her in ways both big and small. She checked on me during some of my hardest moments, supported my children, made me laugh, and once gave me a Wishes & Thankful Ball during my own season of grief, never knowing that one day I would use the lessons she gave me to help process losing her.

That is the thing about love: sometimes we don’t realize the seeds we’re planting in someone’s life while we’re still here.

The Soft Place to Land was created for moments like this, to make room for grief, remembrance, gratitude, laughter through tears, and all the love that remains after someone leaves us.

Denise, thank you for leaving pieces of yourself with so many of us. Thank you for the laughs, the kindness, the conversations, the memories, and yes… Paul’s ribs too. 🤍

One of the last things Denise shared with me was her excitement about the beautiful home she and Paul were building.

She was almost home.

And while my heart aches knowing she didn’t get the time there she deserved, I find comfort in believing she has now been welcomed into a home where there are no more long days, no more weariness, and no more pain.

Just peace.
Just rest.
Just home. 🤍

Thank you, God, for allowing my path to cross with Denise Reedus.

May we remember to check on our people, love them loudly, appreciate the little things, and give people their flowers while they are here to receive them.

Rest beautifully, Denise. 🕊️🤍

God is still with you… even here 🤍

Even in the pain.
Even in the questions.
Even in the moments that don’t make sense.

You are not alone in this.
He hasn’t left you. He’s holding you through it 🙏

Healing is not linear 🤍

Some days you feel strong.
Some days it hits you all over again.

Both can exist at the same time.
Both are part of your journey.

Give yourself grace in every phase 🌸

Today, I stood in a room full of people and shared a piece of my story… one that changed me forever.

Losing my baby broke me in ways I didn’t know were possible, but it also opened my eyes to how many women silently carry this same pain.

Miscarriage is not talked about enough. And too many women walk away feeling like something is wrong with them… when that is simply not the truth.

Today wasn’t just about my story,it was about our stories. The tears, the healing, the questions, the faith, the strength.

This is why The Soft Place to Land exists… so no woman has to grieve, heal, or rebuild alone.

If you’ve experienced loss, I see you. I feel you. And you are not alone. 🤍

How has grief & healing changed you? 🤍

I’ve learned that loss changes you…
but it can also grow you in ways you never expected.

Your perspective shifts.
Your strength deepens.
Your faith is stretched.

If you feel comfortable, share below… you never know who your story might help 🌸

Hi beautiful 🤍

If you’ve found your way here, I want you to know something first…
You are safe here. You are seen here. And you are not alone.

My name is Alisha, and I created The Soft Place to Land from a place of both deep pain and deep faith.

I know what it feels like to carry loss.

To pray for something with your whole heart… and still have to face the kind of heartbreak that changes you. I’ve experienced miscarriage, and with that came a wave of emotions I wasn’t fully prepared for like grief, confusion, anger, sadness… and even silence.

Because sometimes the world doesn’t quite know what to say to women like us.

But I also know what it feels like to keep going.
To lean on God when nothing makes sense.
To smile in public and break in private.
To try to find meaning in something that hurts so deeply.

This space was created for women like me… and women like you.

Women who are grieving but still standing.
Women who are healing, even if it’s slow.
Women who need a moment to breathe, to feel, and to not have it all together.

Here, we talk about the real parts of loss.
The quiet moments. The hard days. The unexpected triggers.
But we also talk about hope, faith, strength, and rebuilding.

Because even in loss… there is still life.
Even in pain… there is still purpose.

And even in your hardest moments… you are still worthy, still loved, and still becoming.

This is your soft place to land.

With love,
Alisha 🤍 by @thesoftplacetoland_

You are still becoming 🤍

Even in the pain…
Even in the waiting…
Even in the moments you don’t understand…

God is still working on you.

Your story didn’t end here. This is still part of your becoming 🌸

You are doing better than you think 🤍

I know it doesn’t always feel like it…

But the fact that you’re still here,
still trying,
still holding on…

that matters.

Give yourself credit for the strength it takes to keep going 🌸

Soft healing moments 🤍

Healing doesn’t always look big or noticeable…
sometimes it’s in the quiet moments.

Lighting a candle.
Sitting with your thoughts.
Letting yourself feel.

Give yourself permission to slow down. You deserve that 🌸

I didn’t know grief could feel like this…

No timeline. No warning. No clear way through it.

Some days feel lighter…
and others feel like you’re starting all over again.

If this is you, give yourself grace. Healing takes time 🌸

You are allowed to grieve and still be grateful 🤍

Healing isn’t about choosing one feeling over the other…
it’s learning how to hold both at the same time.

If you’re navigating loss, give yourself grace.
You’re doing better than you think. 🌸
