In honour of the new Deftones album FINALLY out today, here’s a throwback to the time I interviewed Chino and Abe for Good Things TV (which feels like forever ago…what is time?!)

Go churn ‘private music’ out now, it’s unsurprisingly crazy good 🎶🔥

I’ve spent my life in rooms, Zooms and inboxes with incredible artists.

I’m obsessed with storytelling that digs below the surface (also: NBA & dogs).

If you need an interviewer, host, writer or creative accomplice: hi, it’s me.
Let’s make something electric. ⚡💋

#Repost @knotfest

Recently I caught up to see how well Benji from @skindredmusic was up to date with their current most popular songs on streaming for @knotfest

Aside from wanting to steal his wardrobe, it was a strong finish 🎯

I truly believe you can’t call yourself an Aussie rock’n’roll fan unless you know Nitocris.

Taking airwaves and stages by storm after they formed in the early 90s, this all-gal juggernaut were breaking barriers and taking names before they were old enough to be legally in the venues they were playing.

Ticking off 1500+ shows, an ARIA Award nomination, touring with Deep Purple, The Cult, Rancid and Pennywise (among MANY others), and releasing two full length albums, all in just under 8 years, things soon came to a halt in 2001 (outside of a one-off reunion show in 2009)

In 2026 though, Nitocris are paying tribute to it being 25 years since they disbanded with two upcoming shows locked in for Sydney this October (Marrickville, you’re sold out, Crowbar is on notice selling fast)

Ahead of these reunion performances in October, I spent a moment with guitarist Kirra to dive back in time through the Nitocris journey: how a group of high school friends found one another and made history in the process.

Full interview drops next week over at thesoundcheck.com.au, stay tuned 🤘🏼📺
