Episode 221 | Kenneth Lesher – More Than Just the Music

What starts with a single CD can turn into a lifelong love for Dave Matthews Band! In this episode of The Space Between Podcast, Renae welcomes Kenneth Lesher, a longtime DMB fan and North Carolina educator whose journey began in the ’90s with Under the Table and Dreaming.

From his first show at Giants Stadium in 1998 to family traditions of listening from venue parking lots, Kenneth shares how DMB became part of his life. He talks about traveling to iconic venues like The Gorge, introducing his children to music, and how volunteering with REVERB opened the door to meaningful friendships within the fan community.

It’s a conversation about the music that brings us together, the memories we make along the way, and the importance of passing our passions on to the next generation.

Available on all podcast apps and YouTube.

What happens when a love for Dave Matthews Band meets a passion for woodworking? You get DMB-opoly!

In Episode 220 of The Space Between Podcast, Renae welcomes Matt Gregory, a special education teacher, woodworker, and longtime DMB fan from South Carolina.

Matt shares his journey from discovering "Ants Marching" in the early 2000s to unforgettable concerts, memorable setlists, and experiences at iconic venues like SPAC and West Palm Beach. They also discuss the band's evolving sound, concert poster collecting, and the friendships that make the DMB community so special.

The highlight? Matt's incredible handcrafted DMB-opoly board game, inspired by the music, memories, and culture of Dave Matthews Band. Hear how his creative idea became a one-of-a-kind tribute to the band and its fans.

**THREE DAYS UNTIL THE FIRST CUT!**

A few years ago, I never imagined I’d be doing what I’m doing today.

I spent 15 years working as a nurse. It was a career built around caring for people, listening to their stories, and sometimes being there during their hardest moments.

When I stepped away from nursing, I didn’t stop caring about those things. I just found a different way to do them.

Through **The Space Between Podcast**, I’ve discovered how powerful conversations about music, mental health, and human connection can be.

And now, somehow, I’m competing for an opportunity to create a six-episode podcast with iHeartRadio. 🥹

I’m currently holding **2nd place in my group**, and on Thursday, October 15, the competition narrows to the Top 20.

I don’t need to finish first this round. I just need to keep moving forward.

If you’ve voted, shared my posts, or simply encouraged me, THANK YOU. You have no idea how much it means.

And if you’d like to help, you can cast **one FREE vote every 24 hours**. No donation necessary!

Here’s to taking chances, starting over, and seeing where the music takes us.🎶
