Happy heavenly birthday to my Papa! My grandparents were both virgos in all the ways... Love them so... and an early happy heavenly birthday to you Mama! So much has happened since you have departed! I am surviving some days and thriving others but I am living by the principals that you instilled in me and one day it will all pay off, and I will be truly free.

I had the pleasure of presenting my research today to @aauwflorida Gainesville Chapter! This project traces the prevalence and use of Traditional Medicine among Afro-Bahamian women in the Diaspora. Engaging with concepts of embodied knowledge, Black spirituality, and Decolonializing the Diasopora, this research explores the coming of age experiences that shape Bahamian girlhood

Grateful to have received funding for this research! Thank you!

Sitting at the crossroads between the puta and the saint...the spectrum of feminist undertones keep a daddy's girl balanced in a man's world.

Love a cute cafe! @depotvillage is quickly becoming a local favorite of mine.

Happy Heavenly Birthday to my Papa Bear!

Earlier this year , I found a notebook that he had given me that contained letters between him and my grandmother , that completely changed the course of my life...

I am grateful for your protection in every way.

You taught me how to pray, walk, talk, ride my bike and move through rooms like a lady and yet never miss the opportunity to take my shoes off, let down my hair and touch grass, mud and rock with a nice elixir of spirit choice.

From pageants to the catwalk, it was always you... No one understood the role you played in the background, but I will never forget. My photographer....ugh...

In hindsight, Its nothing like having a grandfather who always makes sure you have shorts on under your clothes going out the door...and a taser... But could also pick somebody up by the collar and throw them feet away... like , i'm gonna whoop your a** , but i'm gonna do it with style, because I just don't want to crush you boy... protector of women, queers and children.

My favorite taxi man.... so cool 😎

I hear you shouting in a militant voice to cheer me up, " GIRL YOU KNOW WHO LOVES YOU! YOUR PAPA LOVES YOU..... " as you aged that turned into a sweet gentle... " who loves you....?" and I would reply " My Papa loves me..."

Love you Pops 🎉 👄💓

Random miniature golf outing with the boys... we made it through 11 holes before the bum flies and sweat sent us to Publix for $5 sushi and lemonade...

Putt-putt was one of my Papa Gregory's favorite thing to do with us! Miss him so much...he was so much wild and crazy fun... grateful to play with my kids and experience the nostalgia....

I officially completed my final grading session from my first semester as an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Florida for the Department of Gender Sexualities and Women's Studies.

This year has been a roller coaster , and I have had to hold on to the harness for dear life. I am so grateful for every word of encouragement , every school supply, instacart delivery, cash app and every farmshare delivery that has come through to ensure my success during active trauma.

Health Disparities is one of those divine assignments that found me doing the work. I did not have the language to describe the work... I am your reminder that you don't have to have the tools.. Just the sincere desire to make change... I am grateful to the Universe aways conspiring for my greatness and destiny being fulfilled.

Gratitude 🙏Peace ✌️ Prosperity

With love,
Alexandria Danielle

Missing my Mama, but so grateful to still have my Mummy! Life is a wild ride, just trying to hold on the reigns and keep my feet in the stirrups one jump at a time…

Me, Mum and Mama (1989?)…

P.S. I guess Faith does look like me a little bit.
