Humbled and thrilled to announce that Thanksgiving Point will be the official home of the Sphere of Light. The Ashton Gardens has long been one of Utah’s most cherished treasures, and we are honored to add a new Center for Growth that will inspire reflection, connection, and hope for generations to come.

In today’s Artist Interview Series, we’re joined by artist and designer Dallin as he shares the deeper symbolism behind the Unity Panel.

Dallin explores how an eighth element the “Shadow”is woven into our seven pillar framework. Rather than standing as a pillar of its own, the Shadow represents the challenges and opposing forces that exist alongside each virtue, adding greater depth and meaning to the seven pillars.

Don’t forget to join us next week as we continue to dive into the meaning and creation behind the SOL.

Love takes many forms, and throughout these panels for @thesphereoflight, each one brings this powerful pillar virtue to life.

Familial love is represented in our Japanese Home windows, motherly love in our Nordic Mother windows, altruistic love in our Perilous Waters windows, and universal love in our Kids at Play and First Steps scenes.

Throughout the Sphere of Light, each of the seven pillar virtues is brought to life with the hope of inspiring and bringing light to every individual who experiences them.

How do you show love in your life?

At the end of the dragon’s tail, Scheherazade courageously weaves stories and words to change hearts while Hansel and Gretel embody the courage to support one other and venture into the unknown. Surrounded by mystical creatures along with tales from near and far, this portion of the window reminds us that Courage can take many forms from trusting imagination, telling the right story, and stepping forward when the path ahead is uncertain.

The Dragon section of the Courage panel reflects physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual efforts to overcome obstacles and challenges in the human experience.

Whether the struggle is to master the human mind, to become honest and authentic with oneself and others, to pursue an ideal, to overcome chaos, or to sacrifice for the greater good, stories of Sun Wukong, Aladdin, William Tell, Pinocchio, Don Quixote, Frodo, Vajra, Aslan, and knighthood lead the viewer to consider what inspires them to show courage and rise to the “dragons” they are called to face.

Something extraordinary is coming to Ashton Gardens. ✨ Thanksgiving Point is honored to welcome The King and Diane Husein Sphere of Light, a monumental stained-glass landmark created to celebrate the shared story of humanity.
Featuring more than 10,000 square feet of handcrafted stained glass, the Sphere of Light will bring together art, history, culture, education, and reflection in a way unlike anything we have experienced before.

Created by the Roots of Humanity Foundation and brought to life by the incredible artists at Holdman Studios, this landmark has been years in the making. We are incredibly proud that Ashton Gardens will be its home.
This is more than a beautiful addition to Thanksgiving Point. It will be a place for people from Utah and around the world to gather, learn, reflect, and be reminded of what connects us.
We are grateful to everyone whose vision, generosity, and artistry are making this possible.
We can’t wait to see the Sphere of Light shine at Ashton Gardens. ✨ taken in Thanksgiving Point by @thesphereoflight

The Sphere of Light is A Center for Growth: an immersive experience exploring light, truth, and human potential.

Currently under development, the Sphere of Light is estimated to be completed in 2030 and will be located at @theashtongardens in Lehi, Utah.

The Sphere of Light is so much more than a building.

It is taking shape through the hands of skilled artisans, who bring care, creativity, and purpose to each piece of glass.

It will be a place where art inspires connection, light invites reflection, and peace finds a home.

Our hope is that each visitor leaves with a renewed sense of purpose and meaningful ways to bring more light into their own lives and the lives of others.
