It was a historic gas station. Now it serves Berkeley's most coveted burger.

For decades, the corner of Russell Street and Claremont Avenue in south Berkeley was known more for its constant four-way traffic than the intersection’s oddly positioned outdoor restaurant.

Drivers coming off Highway 13 bound for Rockridge or taking side streets to UC Berkeley would never think to stop at the weird and often empty stand in the shadow of the Claremont Resort & Club. Now, however, everyone’s paying attention.

At the link in bio, SFGATE Food Editor Jessica Yadegaran reviews the reimagined longtime burger joint, the Station.

Thank you.

You came in, you gave, and together you raised $701 for flood relief in Nepal. As a business, we’ve matched it.

$1,402 is going to @wckitchen, who are on the ground in Rasuwa serving meals to families displaced by the August 26 floods.

This was yours. We just added to it. Thank you to everyone who gave. If you’d like to give directly, @wckitchen is taking donations now.
