Some of the strongest characters that I have come across.

And no they are not strong physically where they are able to fight with bare hands.

But the minds, the mental strength, the patience to endure, the courage to stand up for themselves in a room full of men, to put forward their own thoughts, to support women.

I am not into sci-fi but this one definitely had me hooked.

A dystopian future where Earth has moved further away from its orbit around the sun after an impact with a comet, having caused Havoc worldwide and freezing the planet.

There is no vegetation, no signs of life.
Just artificially created domes by 7 founders with the help of an AI named Suprema.
They named this new city ‘Halcyon’.

But, life like this could not go on much longer, hence they found a way to melt the core of MARS and make it a liveable planet like Earth. Melting the core was not easy hence Bio-engineered Humans had to created to do the task.

But riots erupted and the creation was later named Rakshas.

This is a story of human greed, and a dystopian reality where mere human beings are treated as rats by the system and the Rakshas are treated worse.

This was a fast paced read and the first book of the trilogy.

P.S - I also grilled the author on use of AI for the cover but he had a valid explanation for the same which I was satisfied with.

If you are someone into dystopian sci-fi books with a hint of Indian mythology. Give this one a read.

वैधव्य औरतें अपने जीवन में जो कठिनाइयों का सामना करती है , और लोगों का उनके प्रति व्यवहार के ऊपर उपन्यास है ।

२. मानव कौल कि “शर्ट का तीसरा बटन “
हमारी ज़िंदगी में अक्सर ऐसे हालात होते है जहाँ हम उन कठिनाईयो का सामना करने की जगह इधर उधर देखते रहते है। शर्ट का तीसरा बटन इसी पे राजिल, छोटी और राधे कि कहानी है ।

I picked up this book because I immensely love mythology and I am always curious about the way the universe works and anything and everything related to Gods.
And to top it all , this story is about our beloved Bholenath and Maa Adishakti.

This book starts from the cosmic beginnings answering simple questions like , When and how creation started? What existed before everything? How did it start and how will it end in the future.
From the very creation of Brahma, Vishnu ,Maheshwar and Shakti to how they took human forms. This book has it all.

This is the story of love and resilience.
The story of how much grief and pain our dear Bholenath felt when he lost Shakti over and over again.

The writing is really simple and chapters small which makes you immediately rush to the next chapter.

It is always so good to read a mythological love story especially the first one of our creators.
Science and spirituality are a beautiful combination and this is such a good book of our favourite retelling of Shiv-Shakti’s story.

Although, for someone who has read the puranas, read mythologies, are well versed in the stories of creation, Maata Sati, and Maata parvati along with the tridev. They might find this book very simple but definitely not unputdownable.
