#fastfriday Last year, @thestreetsyndicate Nomie's 2.3L stroker Evo VIII exhibited some oil pressure concerns as progress was just beginning to get good. After an engine overhaul and some slight changes, I am proud to say that the initial, break-in MAF tune is complete and very close to his desired end goal. Saying that there were LOTS of troubleshooting and technical diagnostics along the way would be a massive understatement... but as always, perseverance, communication, and walking the walk are KEY.

est. 424AWHP VD SAE (441 U/C) on Pump-E85 with old school AMS GT35R kit and 27-28# with soft d*ck timing - for now. The transition to SD tune will include a little more spice, but this is plenty for now 💪 enjoy it and assess vitals again, as usual, before proceeding with next phase 😁

#fastfriday It has been a while, but there is much going on behind the scenes with wrenching and tuning 😏 just gotta put in the work first and see things through to the end instead of hype/clout online BS heh

It is my pleasure to present @thestreetsyndicate Nomie's cousin, Farhad, and his 2003 Evo VIII with a pretty simple yet effective street build/setup. The original configuration and tune ran for a considerable time, but it needed a new calibration after a major change up... this included a new cylinder head, different cams (now GSC S2), and different injectors (now ID1700X)

Fortunately, I have great attention to detail and explained several areas that I thought needed a remap and new strat - both for correctness and safety/durability. I also instructed Nomie to verify the TS IWG75 spring + actuation, adjust preload, and pressure test - always. Some additional diagnostics along the way, of course.

Piss-93 was not the priority, but I gave it enough jam to scoot and not lose to a Camry lol 😆 I emphasized that I wanted the Pump-E85 tune's higher output to be REPEATABLE and CONSISTENT yet absolutely safe. While performing the final hits in cooler 75°F ambient at night, he mentioned the opportunity to confirm in the following HOT and MUGGY day.

In swamp a** 88°F and 67% humidity proceeding a rain storm, this Evo managed est. 460AWHP VD SAE (470 U/C) with FP Green at 33-34psi tapering to 31psi. ZERO knock or hesitation while rowing gears to a modest 7.5k - for now... 💪👌🤌 we shall revisit if/when the owner decides that he needs more and/or winter temps hit i.e. boost weather.

No one-trick (pull) dyno queens here 🫡
